  2. You would need to look in the right place. Store – Prepar3D
  3. Regardless, the graphics card failed and needed to be replaced. I was merely pointing out that this: is not necessarily the case, as things have moved on. Possibly not in the US, if it takes The other two that I mentioned also remain fiercely loyal to Chilblast, so Chillblact must be doing something right.
  4. Things have moved on a bit. If you buy from Amazon in the UK, their returns policy gives you the money back as soon as their courier has it. Not only that, even if the component was ordered by mistake, the same service applies. Not only that, if you order a replacement component it will normally be on your doorstep the next day. Not only that, from time to time, they have extraordinary deals. I have a case, bought in December 2022 for £66, that retailed normally for over twice that. There is a very good reason why the company is so successful. Prebuilt companies are fine but you are the third person I know of whose very expensive graphics card has failed under warranty and one of those did not even work when first switched on. In some cases, pun intended, you have to fit your own replacement, unless you are willing to wait for a technician to arrive, which seems to defeat the point of having the device prebuilt.
  5. It's a very loose interpretation of the word "new" This Bonkers Jet With a Wave Engine Completed Its First Flight – Robb Report
  6. Do you think that your anti virus software could be stopping it? You can always exclude the exe file from its attention.
  7. It's not a part of the aircraft installation folders, it goes here: Your P3D root folder\Captain_Sim\757-III\ace\ace_757.exe It will appear in your start menu inside "Captain Sim". Look there instead.
  8. The Official folder, which contains the simulator content, including all of the world updates and a handful of Marketplace aircraft, so far is around 361 GB. There is little point in posting the size of a Community folder, as that depends entirely on how many community add-ons that the user has installed and is infinitely variable.
  9. It's just an announcement. 🧐
  10. Meanwhile, still here in the country where the internet was invented, not only is the best available download speed 3.6 MBps, down ancient copper wire, 5G has not reached this far and due to the topography, 4G is borderline reception at best. Patience may, or may not, be a virtue, but it is a necessity.
  11. The ability to read into four words something that is for most readers, not there, is to be applauded. There is another saying "all things come to those who wait", The inability to cope with any delay for any reason is the bane of the modern world, especially, but not limited to, the internet.
  12. Some of us, living in the land where the internet was invented, can only have those speeds in any case. We just have to exercise a little patience. Remember what that is?
  13. which is what the video explains, beginning at 4.40. Flightaware cannot see the airspeed indicator in an aircraft. I believe that the title of the video is what is known as clickbait. "The aircraft achieved a ground speed of more than the speed of sound" is much less catchy but much more true.
  14. It depends on when it was installed. It can be updated to the latest configuration. https://parallel42.com/blogs/wiki/converting-my-sim-install-from-legacy-to-modern
  15. Yes, but it's in a very different price range. This is a reasonable guide: UserBenchmark: Nvidia RTX 3080-Ti vs 4060
  16. In fact, i5 processors are far better value for money, even though they do not feature the bragging rights. I use an i5 11600K which barely gets warm running MSFS. What does make the difference is the 3080ti graphics card.
  17. Just to be absolutely clear, if you installed the Microsoft Store version of MSFS when it first came out, then indeed flightsimulator.exe is not accessible. Since then, the installer has been changed, and it is possible, as linked above, to update the "old" installation so that flightsimulator.exe is accessible. Here is the link once again: https://parallel42.com/blogs/wiki/converting-my-sim-install-from-legacy-to-modern
  18. I didn't reinstall, I just followed the guide. Converting my sim install from Legacy to Modern (parallel42.com)
  19. There is an updated method of installation. Checking for Stripr Compatibility (parallel42.com)
  20. This is now long outdated information. Following the restructuring of the MSFS installation, the new location is Your MSFS main folder\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Content\FlightSimulator.exe The current file size is 134 MB.
  21. I didn't read any outrage, that's your word. The original observation was which was a reply to this: which cannot be anything else than a gratuitous and direct reference to World War Two. Nothing at all to do with outrage, the airport or indeed your need to ridicule at any opportunity.
  22. By failing to read the last word in the post, NOT!, you appear to have shot yourself in the foot.
  23. The xEnviro serial number will only register if it is keyed in correctly. It does not tell you that it is incorrect, it simply keeps offering a blank line to enter it into. It is not difficult to enter the letter O when the correct entry should be a zero (0), or vice versa. Of course, the correct email address must also be used. It has been working in this respect since 2022 and it does not require 20 years of IT experience to achieve success.
