  1. Like Bert says, it will be the Packages folder. It should be very large and contain a "Community" folder and an "Official" folder. If you leave the name, then the last line of your usercfg.opt file should be amended to read: InstalledPackagesPath "J:\Packages". At that point, if you wanted to, you could change the folder name from "Packages" to say "Microsoft Flight Simulator". If you choose to do that, the last line of the usercfg.opt file should be amended to read: "J:\Microsoft Flight Simulator". In either case, MSFS should work from your new drive.
  2. I am guessing that it did work but that it only moved the game part. You can find the usercfg.opt file at AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\UserCfg.opt The last line is the path to where MSFS is installed. Note the folder and then move that entire folder to your J drive. Once you have done that, in the usercfg.opt file, replace the D in the path with J and it should work. If you decide to follow Bert's good advice and copy, rather than cut and paste, then before you strat MSFS, rename the original folder, by adding an X to its file name. Then you will know that the game is reading the J drive.
  3. As mentioned, this is likely to be a complete waste of your time. Unless you have been foolish enough to enter the Official folder, reinstalling will make no difference whatsoever. You do not even need to delete the Community folder. If you wish to remove it from the game, simply rename it. When you restart MSFS, it will create a new and empty Community folder. Subject to any "Official" addons, you will then have a default version of MSFS to start from.
  4. I would guess that you will be able to reverse your action and move the game back to your D drive. Then you can start again, with the box ticked.
  5. Possibly, you moved only the game, less than 2GB and did not select the option to move the content as well. If you did that, all you will have on your J drive is the game and a series of links back to your D drive.
  6. You are probably right, this superb bit of software has been available and fully supported for years, entirely free of charge. It would be entirely understandable if the developer had finally tired of the rude, entitled and unreasonable requests that were most likely a daily occurrence.
  7. It indicates that they did not answer the question.

    Dune II

Evidently, age is relative. The "young" man who directed this film is 56 years of age.

    Dune II

The world premiere was in the UK on the 15th February. It is released in the UK and everywhere else that has films released, on the 1st March.

  11. However, they are nothing to do with the update, just advertising. If they really offend you, you can pay for an app that lets you choose your own, Stripr (parallel42.com) or just look away, as suggested already
  12. For what it's worth, nothing has changed here.
  13. Your optimism is admirable. 🙂
  14. 14 hours ago, someone joined the Avsim forums and posted twice, once in this aged topic, that MSFS is a scam. Unremarkably, this has awakened the sleeping Avsim CS attack force, who didn't bother to read what had happened to their topic and just could not resist the opportunity to post more of their "content". I doubt if that was the intended consequence of the author of the nonsense posts about MSFS. Well done for falling into the trap though, even though it wasn't set to catch you.😁 Disclaimer: I have no connection with Captain Sim, other than as a customer. I started buying from them for Fs2004 and many of the subsequent aircraft models were very good. I have recently bought their Boeing 717 for MSFS and it too, is perfectly acceptable to all but the harshest critique and indeed very reasonably priced, at $9.99
  15. Most likely, either the file is set as read-only, or your Windows user account setting is not allowing P3D to write to its own files. If you don't already, try running P3D as an administrator. Orbx Central does not write individual product configurations directly to the add-ons.cfg file, instead, it creates a "Discovery Path", which tells P3D where to look for its scenery. Thereafter, P3D does the rest. This is a Discovery path: [DiscoveryPath.1] PATH=Your drive letter/Your Orbx Central Library/p3dv5 TITLE=Your Orbx Central Library ACTIVE=true REQUIRED=false
  16. Is this entry present in the add-ons.cfg file? [Package.XX] PATH=Your drive:\Your location\p3dv5\ENCN Kristiansand Airport ACTIVE=false REQUIRED=false
  17. Here is how to disable the auto-update for one product.
  18. Microsoft have removed it from sale, so that no one can accidentally buy the older version. It remains in the Content Manager, so that those, like you, who already own it, can install and reinstall if they need to.

  20. "Legacy" versions only means earlier revisions of your version of P3D. If you paid for P3D v6, it does not entitle you to P3D v5, v4, v3, v2 and v1. Your contact's installation instructions are indeed not intelligible.
  21. Xenophobia is, I believe, banned in this forum, as are overtly racist comments. It does not matter at all where someone came from or who they are, or indeed who "let them in" ☹️. Evil does not recognise any of the issues that seem so important to you and does not care about the race, colour or creed of the perpetrators of its wicked deeds.
  22. So sorry, MSFS 2020 in 2024, or MSFS 2024 in 2024, must brush up on my numeracy. 😁
