I had it running 24/7 its only recently since i upgraded to a vr headset Ive stopped plus its difficult to find the hat clip in Australia, i can buy it from the US, but with the clip and postage its almost $50 I started with the track ir 3 when you only had 3 axis of movement, it was a game changer for me in 2004, once they brought out six axis with the of movement version iv model it was a new level. I mainly bought for helicopters but soon used it on everything, just about each aircraft i had had its own profile based on the fly i would do with it. I remember my first flight i had the immersion that gave me goose bumps was in a old LZ model ch47 in 2002 and i flew over a mountain range and ledge just dropped away into a deep valley and i lost all sense of reality around me and i was so engaged in the sim. from then onwards i never flew with 2d panels only VCs the only sim i didnt get any enjoyment out of it was flaming cliffs or DCS these days

HTR was the fsx addon from fred, it did a lot more for helos, im not a fan of the msfs version, as the above post says im waiting on the game engine to support helos, right now like a lot of addons the code is too rigid and un flexible, being limited to 3rd party external engines running adds too many break points in the chain

I dare say the level of xbox msfs users are far higher in RL than captured in the survey, as how many xboxers visit flight sim forums or give a hoot about a survey that triggered people cling to at the same time the RL figures are no way near captured percentage wise in these surveys, if you take the number of sales per platform vs the number of respondents the outcome would show some different figures at the end of your day, its each to their, the ones waving these results in peoples faces saying see i told you so are the ones who believe everything they read for a real capture, the survey will require 10s of 1000s of questions and who the hell is bothered in doing that. ive been mucking around these platforms since 93, ive send trends, fads and hype before on the internet and flightsim forums, just like discord is becoming the new favorite over forums. just like facebook was before that. for the ones arguing over inaccurate results, log off and watch a movie or go for a drive and enjoy life

there are no seasons yet in msfs, its as only as good as the time of the satellite imagery was taken, most satellite images are taken when snow is absent to get the best detail of the area of concern. areas where snow is 24/7 will be the best areas to find snow in msfs' current form. i live in a region where we only have two seasons, and that shortfall is quite evident in the game

Sorry I got distracted from the helo paints as i forgot I had the F-35B model and one of the Australian Amphibious flat top's HMAS Canberra, I was missing something while doing some Ski jumps and vertical landings with AI carriers. So a snappy possible 805 Sqdn paint and a sister ship for a what if the Navy took on the F-35B package to go with the Air Force's F-35A
