  1. The Boeing version desk clamp can be used with the Airbus throttle quadrant as long as you have the flap/speed-break modules or two throttle modules (4 engine) side buy side. This saves on weight and cost of the additional bulky flying clamp from Thrustmaster (which I also own). Image for reference https://ibb.co/26vX0Dr
  2. The installers and updaters are hosted on AWS servers. They will block requests in case there are too many requests from an IP range. PMDG support says it's not under their control and they cannot do anything about it. Wish I knew this before I had purchased their products. PS: using a VPN works for me but it takes hours to update.
  3. Of course! I have an aging i5 9600KF paired with a RTX 3080 (10gb model) and 32gb of RAM. It gives me a steady 30-35 fps at 4K (Render scale set to 80), no stutters most situations with Fenix A320 and PMDG 737. Here are the tweaks / settings that I have applied to make it happen 1. https://www.flightsimulator.blog/2022/07/24/best-graphics-settings-guide/ 2.https://www.flightsimulator.blog/2022/07/25/performance-boost-tricks/ 3. Search Youtube for "Msfs2020*Huge Performance Increase w/ this Hack*De-Bloat your Nvidia Driver & Gain FPS! Game CHANGER" which is a guide on how to use NVCleanInstall i.e. de-bloat your nVidia drivers.
  4. I had purchased the 700 when it came out thinking I'll just pretend it's an 800 and skip the 800 altogether. Sorry to say I could not resist buying the 800 today. All for the sake of realism, operating real-world 800 routes. 700 routes do not exist in my neck of the woods. Whatever one might say about PMDG there's no denying they do have an excellent business development / marketing mindset. Who else finds themselves in my situation today?!
  5. What are you using for roll? And have you reduced the Reaction Time setting? Thanks.
  6. If you are having issued with TCA throttle quadrant then watch the excellent tutorial by 320simpilot here. This will help you with getting throttles and flaps levers working and also with set up of detents.
  7. Surprisingly no issues and seems to work fine and smooth at 30 FPS locked except a few stutters while lining up. I'm not running traffic. Fenix options are at default. I can here the GPU fans going full speed. Happens with FBW but not with PMDG 737. I have problems with my TCA flightpack throttle quardrant config, but that's something for a different thread. System details: I5 9600K/F (no OC, no onboard gfx), 1660ti, 4K 32" display MSFS settings at 4K with 65% render scaling, all other options at High End defaults.
  8. It is quite disappointing that one would have to pay the full "un-discounted" price for the 800 variant on top of the price paid for 700. The 800 is the most common variant globally, and most airlines and routes do not have the 700. I believe this is not an issue for the North American folks. Would have loved to have it made available for a small incremental price. Looks like a shrewd decision by PMDG to sell the 700 first (most like me cannot resist the temptation of getting it now, rather than wait 2 months for the 800), and then tempt us again with a full priced 800 in August. For now the plan is to just be done with the 700 and pretend its an 800 on routes / airlines not served by the 700. Over to your livery painters for the fictional paints.
  9. I am running a BenQ EW3270U 32-inch 4K HDR monitor on a PC with i5 9600KF stock, 1660ti and 32 GB RAM. Here's what works for me in MSFS, with nvidia settings at performance level and flying FBW A32NX mostly - 1440P with render scale at 130, and rest of the settings at high end, gives a steady stutter free 30 FPS locked. 4K at render scale set to 70 also gives a steady 30 FPS with the occasional stutter in large airports. I think I can live the above until I'm able to afford a 3080ti 🙂 Don't think you should have any issues running 4K on your config. Cheers.
  10. Not just Community folder. There's a folder created in ---- %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo\
  11. No, Asobo has not done "fantastically" at all. In real life when staring at a screen whose top half is bright and bottom half is dark, one's eyes do not adjust as you move your eyes up and down. Yes it works in real life but not so in real screen life :). Why, because the screen is not big enough to achieve selective focusing / exposure compensation. I use a 32" 4K monitor and despite the screen real estate I am unable to focus on the instruments when the windscreen is bright and over exposed.
  12. Here is an excellent VOHS https://flightsim.to/file/8026/vohs-rajiv-gandhi-international-airport A superb VIDP https://flightsim.to/file/7681/vidp-indira-gandhi-international-airport and an awesome VOMM https://flightsim.to/file/10471/vomm-chennai-international-airport Thanks to the creator rcavinash123 So, hop into your fav A32NX in an Indigo livery (the worlds biggest A320 Neo operator), and hop away between these three Asian cities. Or do a reasonably short international hop to https://flightsim.to/file/14639/doha-city-and-hamad-airport-v2-wip Indigo flight schedule here - https://www.goindigo.in/content/dam/indigov2/6e-website/information/flight-schedule/2020/11/Flight_Schedule.xlsx
  13. Didn't know this was a bug and thought I was doing something wrong. Has been happening more often than not recently and I have switched to managed heading mode as I approach towards ILS capture.
  14. Many thanks for the detailed description. I would have just turned it off as an annoyance without fully understanding this new feature if not for your post. Mouse actions loosing focus over knobs during bumpy rides was a major nuisance until this new feature fixed that. I have set "Cockpit Interaction - Primary Action (Lockable)", "Cockpit Interaction - Secondary Action (Lockable)", "Cockpit Interaction - Increase (Lockable)" and "Cockpit Interaction - Decrease (Lockable)" to Left Click, Right Click, Wheel Up and Wheel Down respectively. Hope this is the correct setting.
