Take a look at this, scroll down to the video where it says trackIR5 in FSX, I use the exact method to set it up. With regard to the angle shifting to the tail. You must make sure the 3 green dots are centre in the trackIR configuration software.

No issue with Chrome & Norton here, perhaps only certain Internet browser without malicious add on plug in?

Yeah, you have the option to purchase real flight charts if you don't fancy using the free map from openstreetmap.org. The European ICAO map & chart cost £18.99, tbh that's nothing since some of the hardcore simmers spent hundreds of $$$$ on addons + Avionics equipments.

Been researching for a best moving map on my IPAD to use in conjunction with FSX, First I tried iGMAP from fswidgets. I found that a bit troublesome to activate the plug in outside fsx and on top of that you need to create a flight plan, save it and then export the .pln file to the app in order to fly to your destination. I had Air Nav Pro a while ago but unfortunately is only usable on Xplane then. Today, for some reason I did a google search on Air Nav Pro fsx plugin once again and walla! They finally had a plugin for FSX! So today I decided to play with the plug-in, wasn't quite successful at first but at the end got it to work. What a piece of app this is. It is so easy to use compare to iGMAP. Just create the route on the app and up in the air in no time. I strongly recommend Air Nav Pro to any fsx simmer that uses thier Ipad as part of their Air Navigation equipment. You can download the fsx plugin from here. Follow the instructions here carefully and you won't go wrong. Once you use this you won't use the in flight navigation! :) Regards. Tony

Mine set to 0.1 and Nvidia Inspector combination of AA Setting of 4x4SS with 4x SparseGridSS, along with FSAA toggled On.

Looking at your signature, assuming that you are using Nvidia GTX 4XX, GEX & UTX? With all settings max out, how the heck did you manage to get 29-30 FPS? Really put a puzzle on me as I'm trying all setting including Paul J NI settings. I am still unable to get above 12FPS in EGLC(London City). Perhaps I'm missing something here.

Hi Steve, thx for taking the time to resolve the dx10 issue. Last night I spent 4 hours trying to figure out what is the cause. Everything work fine except the pauses. Dx10 is causing the fps misbehave strangely when flying over heavy urban area. No matter what internal fps I use while having NI setting at half refresh rate or even force vsync on. The fps could fluctuate from 38 to 1. I think it pauses and go into window mode when the fps reaching 0 perhaps. Revert back to dx9 and is all steady. My driver is all up to date. Not try the OC thinggy yet. But will give it a go tonight. Regards. Tony P.s. don't know how ppl can get as much as 200+ fps

Thanks Steve! Finally a DX10 fix. I am using your method describe in post #53. The Flashing runway in DX10 Preview is fixed. However, I'm experiencing fsx go into window mode and pause about 2-3 minutes after take off and again just before landing. Maybe just only me as no one mention about this problem yet. Do I need to change anything in the .cfg file or Nvidia Settings? At the moment I'm using Jean-Paul NI settings posted here.

Bump into this thread when searching for a suitable chair for my flight simulation. At the moment I'm using the x-rocker pro. Only give me the vibration from the sub-woofer at the back. Was thinking upgrading to a 2 DOF motion platform. Don't know if anyone here know any europe supplier.

Ahhh.....so it is ok to install OS on SSD and FSX on separate SSD. Do I still have to use NickN's OS installation guide for SSD? Minus the OO defrag ofc.

I see a lot of experience FSX users prefer OS on a normal HDD and fsx on SSD, is there a special reason for that? How about fresh installation of Win7 on the Samsung SSD, and then buy a 256 gb SSD for FSX. To save the hassle of defragging headache.(normaly 6-7hours with OO defrag each time, not mentioning repeating process)

Hello Dass, what I meant in my op is that I got a new 128gb SSD, I would like to do a fresh install of Windows 7 and keep my fsx + add ons on the separate HDD. :)

Oh lord....might sell my SSD instead. Can't be arsed to go through 4days of add ons installation + defragmentation again. Thanks you anyway. p.s. Unless someone can come up with a solution here to save the day. :)

Hello All, I just bought a Samsung SSD. I need a bit of advice on how to install/migrating my OS to the new SSD while my FSX + add ons currently installed on a separate dedicated drive. Will I be able to start FSX by just install the OS and migrate the registry to the OS(windows 7 64bit)? Do I need to re install all the add ons? Regards Tony.

Hi Paul, I had fsx controller disabled. Only fsuipc controlling the yoke,throttle and rudder. Also I do go into fsuipc calibrate whenever I load fsx. Just don't know why is it so sensitive. It jump from 0-16383 with slight touch, rolling left seem normal though.
