Why I've decided to switch to IVAO and why you should too.
Just to be clear - besides all what was said- you don't need to buy a license for FSINN.

How does your week as a real lif pilot look like?
KLM has a set pay + a rate for unregularity, hrs flown and expenses when staying overnight. This set pay is based on rank and aircraft. (experience)

I always prefer: the Pina colada drinking, handsome in uniform, flirting with the most beautifull women in exotic places, man. That does what he likes to do the most -flying- and gets paid for it... But I am a notorious dreamer, although the "getting paid to do what you love " must come close, otherwise you'll never start flying in the first place I imagine...

Community change to X-Plane: where do we go?
If I look at our FS9 brothers, who are still very much present, I feel confident about "my FSX" The most important things are developed, or still under developement (T7, bae, etc) wich will keep me flying for years to come. By the time a serious alternative shows up, I'll either convert slowly but steady, or keep harrassing these forums asking if a FSX version is going to be made.. :P

Who would like the MD-11 remade in the future
I still enjoy flying the aircraft as it is right now. The only thing I would like to have, and for this I would have to look to Bryan York, is a voice edition of FS2Crew. After being used to voice, the button version doesn't quite do it anymore for me.

i5 2500k: Is a small overclocking to 4,2 ghz worth?
I agree, so do I.No two processors are the same, btw, at a certain point you will hit a wall, some hit that at incredible speeds, others a bit less. But always make sure you keep within safe limits with voltage etc, otherwise you might end up with nothing. With a new porcessor build it up slowly, let it run at 3.5 or a bit higher for a while before you atempt the next step. And above all check FSX, if you get good results, even if you're not at 4.0, keep it. Because in the end it is a good performance that counts, not how high can you get.

AS2012 worth upgrading from current ASE+REX OD?
I didn't do that, but it might be a good idea... If you follow NickC's bible (I think it was C ) to the letter fresh install are the better ones.

i5 2500k: Is a small overclocking to 4,2 ghz worth?
I have mine (i5 2500K) OC-ed to 4.0. Which isn't much for the chip, but I see significant changes in FSX. I started at 3.7 after a while went up to 4.0 with the ultimate goal in mind a steady 4.+ (3,4,5) But seeing how FSX performs rigth now I migth stay with 4.0 And it's not all about framerates (althought important) but the overall performance and stability.

Best is to uninstall it. Start fresh.

FSX or Prepar3d ?
At this moment I am really happy with how FSX is perorming on my setup. So for now I stick to my grandmothers wise words: "don't fix, what isn't broken." That doesnt mean, however, that I am not going to make the switch eventually. I do keep an eye out how Prepar3D is developing and once I am confident enough - and feel up to the task of converting and fiddeling with maps and dll- I probably will make the jump.

AS2012 worth upgrading from current ASE+REX OD?
Hmm, always a matter of personal taste somehow, but I had the same setup as you, upgraded and am very pleased about it. I see an overall better performance with very good framerates. The enviroment outsides sometimes gives me goosebumps. I got FSX exactly working as I always hoped for..I have a i5 2500K OC to a mild 4.0 with a GTX 460 card

PMDG Conference Videos
It doesn't have to be that complicated. If you develop a 319, you basically develop an a320 and 321 too (airbus' philosophy to make the flightdeck uniform so airlines don't have to spend much time and money certifying their pilots to different types) Which would fit in PMDG's current philosophy where they build a platform from where they work on (737, T7 and 747) to make their developement process more effecient.Add to that that the airbus is a plane that you see a lot on airports throughout the world and you have a product that PMDG could be interested in. With comments like "We have absolutely no agreements not to make an Airbus " from Ryan paving the way, it looks very promissing. And to take it even a step further; capt Randazzo going to London for business with British Airways as one of the major carriers with airbusses in their fleet....Man I am on a roll here speculating till infinity and beyond... But one can always hope right.....
