  1. I'm new to x-plane, bought it a week ago. So far I liked freeware: DR400-140B Staggerwing940 Eclipse 550 from Aerobask. Yesterday I bought their Pipistrel Panthera. Beautiful airplane with nice features
  2. nvm, this plane doesn't have wipers
  3. I'm a bit confused. Does this addon have rain effects, working wipers, like b200? This video shows droplets, but I didn't see wipers clearing the windshield.
  4. Seems like default download is KSEA demo. Rest of the world is in optional (free) packages.
  5. I think FSX is safe. They don't have permission to modify it. I bought FSX Gold on GFWL and it was just delivery service. No connection to Live account (except download and installation), no logon. Standard activation at first program start and that's it. You could uninstall GFWL, FSX doesn't need it. They just want to bring more people to flight simulation and for their upcoming product.
  6. I also had problems with free space on C drive. I modified user variables TEMP and TMP to point to a directory on different drive. After system restart, installation went fine.
  7. I have FSX Gold bought on GFWL. It was like 10GB download, not a big deal.
  8. P3Dv2 with DX11 on AMD is way faster than FSX with FX9 (at least on my R290). DX10 in FSX is also faster and smoother than DX9, but is unusable from some time (for me since Windows 8 update to 8.1 and new drivers) I don't care about old drivers, new 14.4 gave me huge boost in DCS: World and new graphics engine is around the corner.
  9. You will get a mixed package of aircrafts with non-clickable VC F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs A-10A: DCS Flaming Cliffs Su-25: DCS Flaming Cliffs Those are sold separately, but are also part of whole package "DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3" More less on the level of SU-25T (slightly better - AFM+/PFM). And a bunch of older models Mig-29, Su-27, Su-33 with SFM (crappy flight model). Su-27 and Su-33 have refreshed models and VC (like Su-25A/T) Su-27 soon will get AFM, it's in development from some time. If you want study sim with complex flight model and fully clickable VC, get yourself a chopper or DCS: A-10C Warthog
  10. A-10C (not "10A") has the best value for the money. You won't get Nevada map for free. It was for beta purchasers Ka-50 is awesome, but it won't give you experience of flying a classic helicopter (coaxial rotors), and It's supposed to fly itself, so the pilot has the time to manage weapon systems. It requires some learning about autopilot and trimming. The best choice to start with choppers is Huey. Nimble iconic chopper. Easy to learn and has very good campaign. Recently they implemented sling load operations, but it's still WIP
  11. Make sure, 'take-off assistance' and 'auto rudder' are disabled for Mustang in options>special ;]
  12. F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs A-10A: DCS Flaming Cliffs Su-25: DCS Flaming Cliffs have advanced flight model and are part of DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3 (FC3). You can buy those three ('modules') separately or buy whole package DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3 (FC3) which also contains Su-27, Su-33 and Mig-29. Su-27, Su-33, Mig-29 have standard flight model. Su-27 soon will get advanced flight model.
  13. No, it's different aircraft. Still on FC3 level (no clickable cockpit). Sometimes called Su-25A to avoid confusion from "T"
  14. If you are going to spend some money, read this: DCS Product Terms
