July 21, 201411 yr Hi All, Really enjoying XP 10 and I'm reading to dip my toes into payware territory.... GA only - not ready for jets yet... but will most likely get the FlyJsim 727 next Leaning towards the Carenado C90 for my first twin - the lighting and features look incredible. Any reason to get the B200 instead? Also would appreciate any opinions on other twins... For singles, I'm considering the the Piper package by Jason Chandler - looks like a great value - contains a mix of singles and twins. Also, the flight modeling is highly praised, notable among them Keith Smith - the founder of Pilotedge, and rw pilot.... Thanks for any feedback.
July 21, 201411 yr I have the caranedo B200 and couldn't be happier. I also have the C90 but I like the B200 more because ot is slightly bigger and handles a bit smoother. Ray S. Check out my aviation portfolio: http://scottshangar.net
July 21, 201411 yr You won't go wrong with the Piper package. Best value of $ and fun. Have a look at the Citation Mustang too. A little faster than the Beeches but it's fun. And all of them are very easy on your framerate.
July 21, 201411 yr LES did some good models I think - maybe a Beech Sundowner? Otherwise you've probably seen Carenado's line - I haven't purchased the Malibu yet but it's one I'd like to get. Their A36 is good but I have issues manipulating the Aspen unit clickspots. Or consider the C337 - technically a twin but handles more like a single. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 21, 201411 yr Author Thanks guys. I have a GTX 560 Ti 1 gig video. Is this sufficient for the c90 or b200? running i7 3.5 ghz and 32 gig ram

July 21, 201411 yr The B200 and C90 are similar, with the main difference (from my perspective as someone who likes bush flying and small runways) being that the C90 can squeeze into a slightly shorter runway when landing. The B200 is a little faster. Either one is a great Carenado model for a twin. Also don't forget to check out the X-Aviation Mitsubishih MU-2 if you want something a bit different from the norm. It's a handful to fly, not as forgiving as the B200 or C90, but better for sightseeing with more view area out of the cockpit. If you're getting both a twin and a single, some of my favorite singles (again, from a Bush flying perspective) are the Carenado C195 with the Bush extension pack (floats). Or you could for a rotary engine with the Shade Tree DHC-2 Beaver or DHC-3 Otter, both good models although not quite up to the Carenado standard for eye candy and lighting effects in the cockpit. Both come with float versions. For a more modern single, I like the Carenado Bonanzas. I have the F33A version because I like the modern cockpit, but the V-tail is also nice. Both very easy to fly (maybe a little too easy). Years ago I bought the Piper package mentioned above. It's a very good deal for the number of planes at that price, but the graphics are somewhat behind the current standard. They use the generic X-Plane gauges, and the exterior modeling is fairly basic. X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator on Windows 10 i7 6700 4.0 GHz, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1660 ti, 1920x1200 monitor
July 21, 201411 yr Your video card memory is lower like mine - you'll have to pull your main texture quality slider to high or whatever the middle is. I had to for the king air and their recent 206. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 22, 201411 yr I'm new to x-plane, bought it a week ago. So far I liked freeware: DR400-140B Staggerwing940 Eclipse 550 from Aerobask. Yesterday I bought their Pipistrel Panthera. Beautiful airplane with nice features Mariusz Wrzos
July 26, 201411 yr You should also consider Helicopters,The Flight Dynamics of "Dreamfoil Creations" Helo's are Stellar!! +1 on this. Helo flying is very rewarding. You have to fly yourself, and not letting the computer do all the work . A “simple” takeoff, landing or hovering are as hard as landing with (heavy) turbulences in a normal plane – a real challenge. Just today I had my first (real) helo flight. Foor good reasons you aren't allowed to do start and landing (even in a relatively simple glider you aren't allowed to do so, too), nevertheless I was really enjoying it. My sceneries (excerpt): LPMA Madeira (XPFR), LGSR Santorini, LRBV Brasov, the city of Fürth (Germany), several libraries, ...
July 27, 201411 yr Moderator Just today I had my first (real) helo flight. Foor good reasons you aren't allowed to do start and landing (even in a relatively simple glider you aren't allowed to do so, too), nevertheless I was really enjoying it. I'm still waiting for the opportunity to do a real trial lesson as well. I'm just worried I'll get addicted to it, and considering such lessons cost nearly 4 times as much as normal PPL lessons, this could be dangerous.
July 27, 201411 yr LES did some good models I think - maybe a Beech Sundowner?...Yes their Duchess is also very good and a real bargain at only $20.One of the best pre-Carenado GAs she is fast, sexy, and brimming with the quality that LES is renown for.
