    It's not about the headset but the way higher (hence expensive) PC power required to achieve an acceptable VR experience.

    What was your climb torque? With 84% and 155kts the real EMB 120 needs only 2min from S.L. to 8000ft at low weight.

    Too litte leaning is the far worse problem. In FSX/P3D you 'have' to lean way too much and if you don't, the engine will die at approx 10000ft which is complete nonsense. Loss of power due to lack of leaning is way overdone. Never understood why LM didn't fix this item, especially since they are selling P3D as a 'training tool'.

    You've never flown in hard winter in Alaska? PAHO? PAEN? Never landed on a snow covered runway in 15yrs? You did miss a lot.

    Which serious simmer is using unmodified default aircraft in FSX/P3D? I really hope that the MSFS aircraft will be way better/usable. That being said, at least the C172 and the DR400 still need quite a bit of additional work.

    Don't have it presently installed, but isn't there a 2D pop up window to control the doors?

    Don't know what add-ons you are talking about, but neither jets (FSX and P3D) or turboprops (P3D) suffer from any unrealistic 'surge' during start up with a good FDE. The same goes for the propeller braking effect. No need for the often mentioned 'outside FSX/P3D' programming. That's all straight forward FSX/P3D SDK use. But I fully agree that the leaning simulation is very unrealistic as are the 'reversed' sounds for piston props concerning constant speed props.

    The problem usually isn't the landing, but getting out of the airport again. That said, at low weight 900m is more than enough for the ATR 42.

    Nope. Works during startup a well.

    The Carenado ATR 42 matches the real world takeoff and landing performance data, but I haven't read anything about STOL capability in the RW manuals.

    That's new to me since N1/N2 relationship has it's own table in the air file.

    Is it already confirmed that there will be no ATC and AI at release? Without seasons, no ATC and no AI it would be not a big surprise if the performance would be top, see Aerofly FS2. Can't imagine that flying around in a deserted and quiet environment would be very immersive for many people.

    Oily runways? This wouldn't be realistic since such a runway would be closed immediately IRL.

    AFAIK there will be no seasons upon release. Not being able to fly e.g. in the Austrian, French or Swiss alps, or Alaska in winter is a real downer 😞

    History repeats itself. X-plane always lagged behind the actual MS sim version. Austin always claimed that the next x-plane version would leapfrog the MS sim, but it never happened. In fact, the gap between x-plane and MS sims always grew bigger. Only when MS stopped developing flightsims, x-plane could catch up....until now that is....

    Same here with the additional blank window. AP problem seems to be related. Never had a problem with creating new default flights. The only important item is that it should never be with an add-on aircraft. Once the problem was gone, I had no problems in re-saving my original default flight as default flight again. Btw, I've had this problem twice, and each time it was the first add-on install after a new P3D install, so I'm not sure if this is a Carenado problem.

    Can you finish the installation nevertheless? I've had the same, very strange, error a while ago, but upon switching to the Cheyenne, P3D CTDd. I had to choose and save an airport in a different country as a default flight and the CTDs stopped. Subsequent installations didn't produce this error anymore.

    As IRL. Didn't see any evidence of a cube or bubble shape.

    I don't see an 'arc'. This illusion is being caused by the extreme wide angle view.

    Strange, I did encounter such well defined cloud edges quite often in the last few decades.

    The SFO sequence has been taken at a much higher altitude. Estimated FL300-400.
