  1. I was hoping that B2 would correct the problem I had been having with B1 freezing, but I could only get 3 flights in before it happened again. And then it happened twice in a row. I stopped flying B1 after the latest update hoping B2 would fix it. I guess I need to go back to flying the 737s until this gets sorted. I'm extremely disappointed. It happens whenever the departure has a manual leg with a disconnect and then the 1st waypoint. I departed KORD 28R, flew to the required altitude, engaged the AP, and then used the Dir button to select PMPKN as the active waypoint. Just after reaching cruise altitude, I gave everything a quick look to make sure it was all set for cruise and went into the kitchen to get a drink. While I'm in there, I hear the "... Spirit 1622 you are 500' below your assigned altitude. Climb and maintain flight level 320" message. Sure enough, I come back to find the airplane in a slow turn to the right and descending. The sim is running fine. The ground is moving, AI traffic is passing by, I can switch cameras and control them properly, but nothing in the airplane works. Buttons press, and knobs turn, but they have no impact on the airplane. My only option is nuking the flight. What a real bummer. B1 would fly KLAX/24L OSHNN MISEN RNDRZ KLAS every single time with no problem. If the flight plan was KLAX/24L ORCKA MISEN RNDRZ KLAS it would freeze up every time. OSHNN has a full departure with all of the waypoints connected as part of the SID. ORCKA has an initial climb heading and altitude, then a manual leg, and then the next waypoint. Since I was now testing again, I chose to tempt fate with the ORCKA departure. I departed 24L, flew heading 251, crossed DLREY just below 3000', and maintained 251 for a bit and then used DIR to select KLIPR as the next waypoint. Just before reaching MISEN, completely frozen again. I give up. I hope you all have a lot of fun flying your new toy.
  2. To me, it's the contrast that seems off. Adjusting the brightness up and down works to get the overall bright level correct, but it feels like the black background isn't dark enough and the white parts aren't bright enough.
  3. Yep. Not sure if it matters, but I used Alt-Enter to switch to a window, and then used the X at the top to exit instead of using the normal method. I've been doing this forever, and it hasn't caused any problems.
  4. Thanks. I guess I just missed that page.
  5. So... I'm starting a flight from cold and dark at the gate. All of the GSX options are enabled, but nothing is happening. I tried calling the fuel truck. It arrived, but it wants me to input the fuel quantity. How do I get it set up so the services start and use the simbrief values? Edit: I found it. You have to go to the Mass & Balance screen, select "load aircraft", and then click GSX. It called the fuel truck...
  6. Greg. You can move it back to where you want it. Start the XBox app. Click on MSFS in the list on the left, then click the button with the 3 dots on it ("...") on the top right. When the dialog pops up, click the "Files" tab then click "Change Drive". It will let you pick a folder, too.
  7. Yeah... I worked for Saab a while back. The company we paid to record that messed it up. It was supposed to say, "Don't think you're gonna make the runway.".
  8. I spent years flying around in other sims wishing they would make the darn things look better... I suppose my priorities are all out of whack.
  9. I've had the "VHF signal Degradation" option enabled since I installed MSFS. I've never actually heard a "degraded" transmission. Until now. Just started KDEN-KLAS and while sitting at the gate, some aircraft called ATC and it had static and an overall degraded sound. It was actually pretty realistic. But why was that the 1st one I've ever heard like that? Did they update something yesterday?
  10. I'm just happy that we no longer have to see that odd blob of light on the terminal. Looked like someone was shining one of those car dealer searchlights on it.
  11. Right click on where it says "CPU" above the graph, and change it to "Logical Processors". After doing that, you'll see a graph for each core. I'll bet at least 1 of them is at 100%.
  12. Yeah... Whenever that happens to me, that's what I do. Sometimes, I just reboot because it's faster than logging in and out of Xbox but it doesn't always work.
  13. It works fine for me. In Windows settings, I set my refresh rate to 120Hz (not the highest, 144Hz simply because I like keeping everything in even multiples of 30 for smoothness). In NCP (in the Flight Simulator profile), I have "Monitor Technology" set to G-Sync compatible and I have "Vertical sync" set to application controlled (I understand that this should be on, but this is how it works best for me after trying both ways). "Preferred Refresh Rate" set to highest available and "Power Management Mode" set to prefer max performance. In game, "Vertical sync" off, "Anti-Aliasing" set to DLSS Super Resolution, and "DLSS Super Resolution" set to DLAA, and of course, "Motion Blur" set to off. See if it works for you set up like that.
  14. I think Flight Sim v1 though FS98 all took over 10 minutes to load. MSFS always seems to load fast to me. Getting old stinks. LOL
  15. I'm not trying to convince you of anything, but just as an FYI. The registry changes are "non intrusive". By that, I mean that the that changes it makes do not modify anything that already exist. It creates 2 brand new sub keys that did not previously exist when you install it. When you remove it, it simply deletes those 2 new keys. It doesn't get close to anything critical to the proper operation of your OS, or your simulator.
  16. This mod is the first "performance enhancement" mod that I've ever used that actually made a obvious and substantial improvement in the sim's performance. It doesn't modify the simulator in any way, so I'm not sure why MS/Asobo would squelch the topic like that. I read an article that said that AMD intentionally made it open source to encourage use of their technology on non-AMD hardware. It certainly works.
  17. Must be specific airlines. I've got over 100 flight plans installed and I've never seen a square navigation light.
  18. I think you just need to drop a 2nd copy of the two files in the folder where the Cyberpunk .exe file is. The registry is already set up, so it should work.
  19. I open it up, sit it out back, and use the blower side of my shop vac to blow it out. It takes 2 minutes, and it comes out perfectly clean. Just keep the plastic nozzle at least 6 to 12 in away from the electronics so you don't zap anything with static electricity.
  20. I don't know how I missed it before, but I had motion blur set to ultra. I turned bloom back on and set motion blur to off, and it's running much smoother. Yeah, bloom still has issues, but they happen with or without FG so I'll live with it and hope Asobo fixes it at some point.
  21. I do not like configuring either, but I find myself doing it all the time. GSX works surprisingly well in a wide variety of situations. I have to give it props for that. However, I prefer to see each gate set up in some sort of orderly fashion. GSX calculates where they'll fit. and puts them there. Sometimes, it's perfectly fine, other times it needs tweaking. I've gotten into the habit of starting my flights 5 minutes earlier than I need to. I use GSX's reposition to the current gate right away, and then hit external view to see if everything looks okay. If not, I set that gate up and it'll be good from then on. I've gotten most of the gates at the airports I fly to a lot set up now.
