Frame generation for all RTX cards
MrFuzzy replied to MrFuzzy's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
What issue does GSync cause exactly? -
Frame generation for all RTX cards
MrFuzzy replied to MrFuzzy's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
No, the default is the highest refresh rate. Even if you start with 165 Hz in Windows, if you set a framerate limiter then also the refresh rate will drop to the framerate limit. -

With a GSync compatible monitor you can use the default refresh rate. It should be able to run at 60 Hz once in MSFS with a 60 fps limiter. If not, switch to 60 Hz before (or even after) starting the sim. -

Yes, the difference in smoothness is evident even with my 3090. Enjoy! -
Is it my setup or London look terrible in the sim?
MrFuzzy replied to Dillon's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Sorry but this doesn't make sense. If PG looks bad on "certain days" it means that your connection has good or bad days, not the sim data. My London looks like Kevin_28's screenshot. To @Dillon: when you swapped GPU, did you delete the shaders and rolling cache? -
Frame generation for all RTX cards

It is useful regardless, because you can keep power and heat low by generating only 30 fps and getting 60. Even my 7800X3D cannot always deliver 60 fps, so in many situations you would have 40-50 fps instead of 60 at the price (power and heat) of 30! -

Yes, I have been using TAA with the mod since I posted this thread with no issues. Well, if you don't use the mod you can disable nVidia Reflex and the temp goes down significantly... -

Where are you seeing square nav lights? An addon maybe? I am not seeing them... -
Yeah... and I have to say that Emanuel is also one of the most humble youtubers out there. I am curious to know what he did in the past to attract negative comments, as far as I can say he doesn't deserve any toxicity and I hope none of it will get to him.

Frame generation for all RTX cards
MrFuzzy replied to MrFuzzy's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Yes, as I wrote in another post a few days ago, bloom causes stuttering when its effect enters the field of view - during the transition (typically panning the view horizontally). I am not sure if this is another "gift" from SU14 but I never noticed it before. However without bloom the sun looks bad... -
If everything else has failed, try to delete this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Packages\fs-base-ui If you have the MS Store version, search the same folder name in the packages. Restart the sim and it will download the UI again (it's only about 350 MB).

The difference between PC and XBox is that the latter can be run by a totally incompetent person. A PC needs to be configured and set up properly (hardware and software - many prebuilt PCs come with bloatware, antivirus, etc.), and then maintained (by avoiding certain websites, phishing links, malware...) He'd better spend 50-100 extra bucks for technical help next time, it's not like buying a microwave oven or a hairdryer...

Been using this addon with default settings in the last 3-4 weeks and I never had crashes. As suggested, try to fly for a few days without it or reinstall it from scratch to clear any doubt.

Frame generation for all RTX cards
MrFuzzy replied to MrFuzzy's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Nothing. The mod enables frame generation, which in turn activates automatically nVidia Reflex anyway. -
nVidia provides specific profiles for those games that benefit from resizable BAR. For example Horizon Zero Dawn, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077, Borderlands, Forza Horizon, Metro Exodus, Dirt, Red Dead Redemption, Hitman, and Watch Dogs Legion are supported. If a game is not officially supported, it means that either there is no performance benefit (or even degradation) or its stability is affected. I tested it in 2021 without seeing any improvement, as of today MSFS still don't support REBAR officially.

Overcorrecting your own overcorrection is cool though 😛 Adds +30% drama to the video.

Bloom is needed for the sun to look good, but since SU14 it's another cause of stuttering under certain conditions, just like panning through the horizon (GPU spike).

It is a full IFR flight + more than an hour spent looking around and testing all the aircraft systems. From a real airline pilot. But it feels smarter to just post a belittling comment without even opening the video I guess...- 697 replies

It is meant to work that way. If you operate the stick, the AP disconnects. If you want to keep using the AP you have to rotate the HDG knob to the desired heading and pull it (left mouse click on the lower side of the knob). I suggest watching Youtube tutorials, these are very basic operations.
