EDDK is pretty solid. I fly for UPSVAC and picked it up with p3d and bought it when it came out for MSFS. They did a pretty solid job on it.

Well, it’s finally here, but I’m going to be the first to say I’m pretty disappointed and this will not be a day 1 purchase for me. The p3d version of KCVG from SS was mediocre at best and it looks like their MSFS product isn’t far off from that either. Maybe it’s the poor still images they used, but the attention to detail, poor resolution, and weird textures are throwing me off here. Maybe someone else who picks it up will shed some light on how it is for them. First, the resolution of these images is absolutely terrible. The images on their site literally have pixels showing to the point where it’s almost hard on the eyes. Second, the images use stock planes. This is 2023 - use real looking traffic in your advertisements! The ground textures look off as well in these. Or the frequent, "Patience you must learn" comment. I hate when folks blindly defend something and stand on a hill for absolutely no reason. There are no pitch forks... no riots... just folks who want to know what's up and why we haven't had any updates on the situation. Already we are hearing folks upset about the "whiners" on these forums, but of course they'll be the same ones in a month ready to sling mud when it's something that's important to them. Hypocrites is what they are.

Good to know Asobo doesn't resolve issues over the weekend. Atleast now I can keep my expectations manageable.

All jokes aside, one feature I'd really like to see that I think is low hanging fruit and easy for Asobo to implement would be moving the connection notices to the corner of the screen, making them smaller, and not allowing these messages to pause the sim in any way.

That's odd for sure - I've never seen that. Setting turned off? Which region are you seeing this in?

It wasn’t a problem during the beta. I was involved day 1 and never encountered this bug.

Done it multiple times and didn't help. In fact, when I look at the METAR for airports, it's showing data from two days ago. Just loaded up KSFO and got a metar from the 2nd.

Yep, still broken here as well. Fog layer around some of the airports when I load up, but nothing like what it's supposed to be.

And now I can't get any live weather to work...

Yep, just ran into the same issue on the ground at MSY. Winds and visibility appeared semi-correct, but the altimeter was stuck at 29.92.

Point it back to your community folder and it should bypass that

I personally agree with this. I think the punishment here (not literal) didn't fit the crime. His response seemed a bit over the top and this is also coming from someone who is in the PMDG camp and has been a customer since 2004.

I'm curious - how is the night lighting as far as compared to FSLTL? I watched the video, but I've had issues where you can't see aircraft on the ground because their nav lights are invisible on the aircraft and only reflect off the ground. Also, if you try to zoom in on a plane, their lights disappear. Any better with FSTraffic?

The stream looked absolutely terrible. Truly reminded me of p3d days. I had to go back and look at the AviationLabs videos and they look considerably better than what we saw in that stream....

I gave up watching.... every other click he makes in the sim is followed up with an explanation as to why it's not ready. While I appreciate their efforts, they should've just waited. It's still using the default sim nav system. FSS/Aerosoft will not be getting my money for this dumpster fire.

Well, FSS is about to turn themselves into the next CS if they go this route. As others have said, early access doesn't guarantee you a complete product. Really wish devs would hold off on releasing junk. It's just not worth it. Especially when the bare bone basic features are missing.
