  1. One thing they really need to work on is terrain smoothing. Holy bumps Batman…. Everywhere seems to have terrain issues and while nothing crazy that sends my plane into the sky, they’re an obvious annoyance. Hope they fix this.
  2. In all seriousness, it absolutely can be. Unfortunately I work in a career where time to unwind is necessary. Flight sim has been an outlet for me for years and while I’ve always touted that it’s a great hobby to have, too much of it can be a bad thing. I don’t sit around and play Call of duty, Battlefield, or any of these other games, but I find myself constantly coming back to my flight sim. Part of thinks because it actually requires some thought… not some brainless activity like pray and spray as it is in every first person shooter game. With that said, I’ll admit that I was at a low point where this distracted me from my family. Mostly because every flight I do is online and each one takes a minimum of a couple hours. Over the years I’ve learned to balance it, but addiction can be real and I highly recommend anyone who thinks that’s the case to consider outside help. In all fairness, I’d rather be addicted to this than many other things, but you’ve got to strike a healthy balance. Take it from someone who has been there. Simming is a ton of fun, but family and yourself first! Now I utilize simming as my therapy from work and it’s amazing! Anyways, happy simming!
  3. I'm running a 13900k with a 4090 and just landed at KBOS using the PMDG 737 with atleast 20 aircraft on the ground (VATSIM) and was still managing 45fps with all ultra settings at 2k.
  4. I hate to say this, but that is what folks say every year. "Wait until...."
  5. Hope you don't mind but I linked your post and stole your picture to create a thread on the official forums. We need to have this resolved. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/unable-to-opt-out-of-su11/549448
  6. For those of us that don’t have the time to sit down and listen to the entire thing, can we get cliff notes?
  7. Had the same issue a few days ago but nothing since! Figured it was just a random issue. Glad to see someone else had the issue.
  8. Yeah, it’s there. If you look on their site they did a great job hiding it by not plugging the cable in. So you have to zoom in on the picture to see the port is still there. A very poor design.
  9. While they were raising prices, they should’ve reconsidered that silly Ethernet cable connection. That’s the biggest failure point of that design and with their terrible customer service, I don’t fault anyone for not wanting to pay their prices. That’s coming from an owner of an alpha and bravo. I will not personally buy another honeycomb product until they figure out their customer service.
  10. First time I’ve seen it. Great find! I was always kinda hoping since Asobo and VATSIM partnered up that they would find away to integrate this directly into the sim some how.
  11. You better be careful saying things like that about him.... last time I said something about him I got a week ban on here haha. No joke
  12. @virtuali For the custom pushback, will we eventually see the ability to use a scroll wheel on the mouse to adjust the direction of the plane? I'm currently having a difficult time because I have my arrows setup to move the camera view which makes it a challenge to turn the aircraft.
  13. We know this month, but I think that's about all we know so far.
  14. Good to know, thanks. On that note, are you able to elaborate on any performance impacts? I'm sure there will be some sort of a performance hit, but with the new sim I would hope it's minimal?
  15. Curious how it'll work with arriving at an airport.... if it'll be like it was before where you select the gate and the crew appears. That wasn't really discussed in the video. Just a brief clip of the aircraft pulling up to the terminal.
  16. Don, Unfortunately this is a common problem with the Bravo and the poor customer service of Honeycomb after purchase. It's sad to see a company that has great potential fall short in the customer service department. My Bravo also suffered the same issue and I had to go through the RMA process. The process is lengthy and frustrating. When my Bravo went out, it took nearly two months from start to finish to get it replaced. I just had an issue with my Alpha with the ethernet port and it's been over a month and I just sent it out a couple days ago. If you do some digging, you'll find this is the common complaint. We are also finally seeing the problems of their products now that they finally have some time on them and we can only hope they'll improve their shortcomings. Unfortunately you will most likely get a unit with no real improvement from the first and it'll only be a matter of time. I've been very disappointed with their service.
  17. This may not be what you're looking for in a reply, but I'll preface this and say there is no negative tone when I say it. The unfortunate reality is that right now we are still dealing with a market that is flooded with developers who are simply trying to make a quick buck. They show off pretty pictures, but the aircraft has absolutely no depth beyond visual quality and each time something is said we get blasted with, "This is not meant to be study level". So my concern here (Note - I said concern and didn't imply it will happen) is that we will get a pretty model of the DC-10 and it'll take the community to mod the hell out of it for it to actually fly like a DC-10. I hope I'm wrong.... I really, really do, but until the professional community can start spitting out more quality work like PMDG and Fenix, everyone will remain a skeptic (myself included). So far their product looks really good... lets just hope they go deeper with it... more importantly, lets hope they actually communicate that before releasing it. Just my two cents. Here is a funny image that was posted awhile back and perfectly explains development for some devs haha (Clearly a joke)
  18. One issue I'm having with the new SU10 beta is the challenge of handling scenery orders in the content.xml file. Even using the experimental option doesn't seem to be working. Using NZAA from FlightBeam, I'm unable to fix the offset ILS issue because I can't adjust the order. Anyone else running into issues?
  19. Hoping they resolve some of the performance issues that were not there with the first beta round.
  20. Would really like to see if they’ll include a fix for ultra long hauls. Right now anything over 9+ hours causes a CTD for many users. With long haulers in the near future (already here really), this needs to be fixed!
  21. Don’t rely on them to reply to your customer service ticket. I’ve had a ticket on this same problem going for over a month. It’s unfortunate that you can’t get any help from them. Good product with TERRIBLE customer service.
  22. I'm still curious if Asobo has plans to fix the memory leak that's plaguing long haul flights. Anything >8 hours results in a CTD for me and it's infuriating. With the A310 coming in November, I wonder if they'll have it fixed.
  23. I’m excited for this as well, but it’ll be a huge disappointment to have this amazing aircraft if Asobo can’t do a better job with making the platform stable over long hauls. Currently folks doing 9+ hour flights are frequently getting performance degradation issues or plagued with CTD issues. We need Asobo to address this before we get a good long hauler.
