  1. I think the 20% figure is a huge way out. I would be surprised if more than 5% of non-game pass owners buy any DLC at all. Most of those million sold will be game pass 'owners'. In this case the game already has a 787 which by one means or another will get better and better. I would be expect 1000 sales tops of a $70 add on 787. This equates to $70,000 in sales which is pretty good if the company selling the product is made up of people working in the project in their spare time and have full time jobs elsewhere. CJ
  2. Not convinced by this one, one of the strips has two firetrucks. Seems more like someone has added some near random standard scenery to small strips without really trying to recreate what is actually there. Compare this to what the country enthusiasts NZA Simulations have done for free. CJ
  3. Yep, I have all the NZA Simulations releases. Will be doing an Australia and New Zealand tour in the next few weeks. CJ
  4. Neither data set will ever be complete or 100% accurate - that is the nature of data gathering. Personally I use the Navigraph data as it then means all my NAV systems internal in MSFS and external in other apps is in sync. There is discussion on the Navigraph forum about data missing in the Navigraph data too. That is just the way the world is.
  5. Awesome post, made my week 😁 And then I fired up the A320neo Flybywire :
  6. I presume you are referring to the Asobo A320neo as the payware model. It is true it is payware. If you calculate its cost as a percentage of the retail cost of the sim divided by just the number of default planes in the sim you get £110 (current Amazon UK price for PremDelux) divided by 30 (number of default planes) equals £3.66 per plane. So you pay £3.66 for the A320 model and apply Flybywire to it. AND that £3.66 gets LOT less if you add on all the hand modelled Airports and even the sim itself. These number are important as people will question why pay £20 for a Payware plane when the evil Microsoft sells me one for £3.66. IF and it is a big IF, of course, all the 30 default planes are improved to what most people will regard as a pretty faithful simulation by modders then the market for big money Payware planes is going to be so small the it is going to struggle to make economic sense. CJ
  7. PC owners can get together to form mod teams. You cannot do that on console as they don't accept mods. CJ
  8. There are also real life A320 pilots feeding info back to Flybywire. I am sure any Payware companies are seriously considering whether it is worthwhile making any plane that currently has a default plane model in MSFS for fear some mod team will take away their clients, or at least enough so that the economics don't work any more. CJ
  9. Very gracious, thanks. Your massive ping figures stood out to me.
  10. It seems to me that there are quite a few people here that don't seem to realise that MSFS has changed the playing field. There is no need to pay big money for amazing planes. We are also not at the point yet when Asobo have released any of their own DLC planes beyond the Deluxe etc. We also have not hit the point where the Xbox version has been released and this is going to force improvements in the default planes by Asobo as mods will be impossible and console owners will not accept broken planes.
  11. Yep, I can only hope that either they or the Flybywire team have a go at the 747 and 787 as the two folks working on those don't seem to have much resource (people). Am loving the A320 Flybywire but a couple of attempts of the CJ7 indicate a very steep learning curve. I really want to fly the 787 though but it is pretty buggy at the moment but not so much a stretch from the A320 as the CJ7. I suspect then that the 747 will be not much of a stretch from the 787. CJ
  12. Strongly suggest using this tutorial from a real Airbus pilot flying MSFS 2020.
  13. word not allowed Good word not allowed
  14. When the XBOX version releases the ONLY place will be the Marketplace. You cannot user install mods on consoles. That will make it simple. CJ
  15. Oh, OK, had not appreciated you were doing that as you wrote about saving game and also retyping in the whole plan, neither of which I do. One element that may help me is that I am running on gaming laptop with no overclocking. I am starting to think I have an advantage in doing this as all the hardware parts are explicitly designed to work with each other. My system seems far more stable than the homebrew builds and people stretching the overclocking. CJ
  16. "CORE CONTENT MANDATORY PACKAGES.....RELAUNCH THE GAME TO UPDATE.....80.80 GIB" This has been the case since the start - there is no update to update - it is an error. Everyone has this. CJ
  17. There is something seriously wrong with your internet access. That is where the problem is. I have 20meg internet and ALL my pings are well below 50ms.
  18. I have never had the game crash in well over 100 hours of flying mainly the Airbus. I don't use the save game feature and am not sure why you do. If you have created the flight plan in Simbrief then you export it to MSFS and then just load the flightplan direct into world map. No manual entering of waypoints needed at all. Simbrief even have a loader app to help. All very easy. I now use Little Navmap too to create flight plans which I export to MSFS and then just hit load in the world map, very east to. I suspect you don't realise that you can do this. CJ
  19. Cool, my business is high end audio systems so fixing problems like yours is what I do. Well done on finding your issue. Normally it is customers swearing blind that they haven't changed anything but it then turns out one of their kids has unplugged critical cable to use tbeir PS4.
  20. It is not his issue as he is still using Game Pass. If he can get MSFS to install with his game pass account then he will also then get the prem delux extras he bought. The issue is his install is not getting beyond the first part on the install. As an aside all purchases in Marketplace within the game are via game credits. You chose to buy a marketplace item, game takes your money to buy the corresponding number of credits and then uses those credits to buy the item. Sadly I don't know why he cannot get beyond the small initial ms store install.

  22. That answers it - KSFO is broken since the last update (I got the same problem as you in that the flight plan is blank) - suspect nav data for KSFO has been wiped.. I installed the Navigraph data using the beta Navigraph MSFS 2020 tool and that fixed it. Still the patch tomorrow might also fix it but am liking using the Navigraph data as it is current and sinks to everything else. CJ
  23. Press clr before entering data this removes the GPS.... text.
  24. I presume that you have tested the 5.1 arrangement using the speaker by speaker test in the Vizio Smartcast app ?
