Black Square - Commander 114
Nick is constantly adding features to his old products. The TBM didn't even have a tablet when it was released.

Failures and Maintenance
The presence of failures are an indicator of quality to me. You will never see Carenado advertise "hundreds of failures" because their systems are almost entirely default. That's why Black Square is the winner on systems for me. When you read that the individual magneto grounding wires can break, it means the ignition system is actually simulated. Having failures on is a gamechanger for me personally. Makes it feel almost 100% real.

Black Square - Commander 114
You're so right. I didn't even think about that. There are so many models of the same airliners I can't even keep track anymore. I see someone asking about developing a whole new A310, and only then do I realize they mean an A310-200 instead of an A310-300. To me, a 114 and an A36 couldn't be more different but to each their own. I'm certainly very impressed with it so far and I think it will remain my favorite even if the new features comes to the Bonanza Pro.

Black Square - Commander 114
I was definitely expecting something special, and Black Square definitely delivered something special. I keep seeing people ask "how is this literally any different from a Bonanza" which really confounds me. It's an entirely different plane with almost nothing in common with a Bonanza except two wings and a tail. They just spent a week releasing videos showing all the ways its different than the Bonanza. Can't please everyone, I suppose... For one, this feels like a significant improvement over the BS Bonanza Pro and I like the four seater sport coupe more anyway.

I've read before that performance is extremely important to Nick, so that's no surprise. Even the Starship with all those screens runs better than most default planes for me.

Why do scenery devs model pizza boxes, malls, bedrooms...?
Us oldies remember when every polygon was sacred. If you never lived through FS8 on a Pentium II you probably don't think about pizza boxes the same way.

Fake AI plane in MSFS Marketplace
I didn't click at first, because I didn't know how "fake AI" an airplane could be. Now I know and it's much worse than I thought! Do we know if it's MSScenery again, or is someone scamming the scammers? How can this ever get through MS and Asobo when they can't even release legitimate aircraft without months of waiting.

Black Square A36 Bonanza: KNS-81 RNAV and DME
It's directly below the HSI. Page 41 in the manual. "Bendix/King KDI 572R DME". Also in the contents. Learning to fly those "vintage avionics" (less vintage than some of us) is one of my favorite parts of Black square planes. Much more rewarding than following the line.

Black square Bonanza and Baron soon!
This is what I like about the MTBF theory. It's super realistic to go 100's of hours with no failures and then get two on the same flight with a new airplane. You just never know these things are going to surprise you which is what makes these aircraft so rewarding to me.

Black Square Baron Professional - Ground Roll Speed
I just practiced an engine shut down last night, and I thought the feathering physics was amazing... Did you put the lever into feather quickly? They won't feather unless you do it quickly after shut down which is realistic.

Black square Bonanza and Baron soon!
It's on the wing for the Bonanza but twins have it in the nose. That whole nose in front of the baggage compartment is a fiberglass radome.
