  1. Thank you so very much for Linda. I've been a flight simmer since the SubLogic days (1980s) and owned my own plane when I was much younger. I recently began using Linda with P3Dv4 after I bought a USB button switch box. The Linda interface is so tiny on my 4K monitor it's difficult to read with my old eyes. I was just wondering if there is any way to enlarge the program and have larger fonts. Thank you for a fabulous program, your time and consideration. OldBob
  2. Here's my issue:Using these: Using FSX Gold with Acceleration Pack LINDA 1.3 PMDG 737NGX Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog FSUIPC 4.x (Registered) Was using but have removed Thrustmaster T.A.R.G.E.T. configuration softwareI experience problems with 2 buttons:The RED pushbutton on the front side of the Throttle grip is programmed to reset Barometer when I'm using REX 2.0HD Real-Time Weather It functions properly and sends the barometric reset command It additionally sends the FSX code for BRAKES The pushbutton on the lower right portion of the throttle base is programmed to activate the PARKING BRAKE command It issues the correct command, but somehow something somewhere ELSE in my system is ALSO issuing the command as well, a total of three times. End result, NON-RESPONSIVE, you hear the parking brake being turned off a couple times but doesn't turn on/off as expected.Troubleshooting steps Turned on keylogging (Tracing) in LINDA, also enabled logging window in FSUIPC as well Removed the command to activate the parking brake from LINDA - parking brake then works as expected. Problem persists with the altimeter reset mentioned herein for the OTHER button. I have spent a LOT of hours trying to chase this, but need some help with solving these two minor issues, PLEASE!!Questions:In FSUIPC.INI file, there is the usual 1 line about BUTTONS, but nothing else. There is no separate 737NGX Button area in FSUIPC.ini that I can see.So where in the heck are the programmed key commands stored for FSX?YES, I went into Controls (within FSX) and made sure NO COMMANDS WERE ASSIGNED to the Joystick or throttle. The AXES for the Warthog ARE there. The Key Command within FSX for parking brake is the semi-colon key (I have assigned that key) and NOTHING appears next to it for JOYSTICK command!Suspicion:I suspect POSSIBLY I might have originally tried to assign the RED button on the lower right base of the throttle control to parking brake using T.A.R.G.E.T. but as I said, I have completely removed TARGET from the machine. I deleted the FSC folder that was created by TARGET as well.I am betting one of you may be able to help me - I surely hope so :Whistle:Thanks in advance for tips and ideas.
  3. Title says it all - using Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog (love it), EZDOK, PMDG737NGX, FSUIPC Registered 4.x.Have the Squeeze lever on the WH configured to cycle through the three camera categories in EZ DOK. After squeezing it a couple of times, invariably my Auto Pilot disconnects, the klaxxon horn sounds, and I cannot seem to figure out why this is happening.I just added LINDA to control the 737NGX, works a treat. The squeeze lever button on the joystick is NOT assigned to anything in Linda. I -may- possibly have configured it a week or so back to do something in FSX but I can't recall. WHen I installed LINDA, I had to delete the Button Controls from the FSX Modules\Controls HTML file. I have that button configured to swap cameras in EZ DOK.I'm willing to bet someone with a Warthog may have a possible clue how I can troubleshoot this, thus I'm asking for advice, please. Thank you!Robert
  4. Hello LINDA Team!Love Linda! Hoping that the impending release of the PMDG 737NGX "SDK" (Software Developers' Kit) will mean some nifty additions for Linda, yes?Hoping for control of all doors via VRInsight Combo II and/or Thrustmaster Warthog Control Surfaces?Hoping the VRInsight 737 Overhead Panel might be a 'new addition' to the array of Linda-supported devices? While we're dreaming, the VRInsight CDU-II support for the PMDG 737NGX.I have already donated to Linda, and like others here, would contribute further if needed to see the PMDG 737NGX implemented across the primary lines of VRInsight hardware (if this is even possible, I don't know?)I for one can't see buying the VRI 737Overhead Panel only for the iFly 737NG. Sorry, but my airplane says PMDG all over it. This is not to 'knock' the IFly. It is simply a statement of my own personal preference. Put another way, since obtaining the PMDG, I don't fly any other aircraft. It's THAT good (in my book). So I'm 'hopeful' that Crumm and company may have some potential good news for those of us with PMDG 737NGX in our hangar?Best wishes,Robert
  5. After a rather lengthy telephone call up to Oregon (USA) speaking with GoFlight tech support, I was disappointed to learn that GF does not directly support PMDG aircraft AT ALL. GF was trying to suggest that using the iFly 737NG would be a better 'fix' for using the GoFlight MCP Boeing-type panel - but I am loyal to the NGX by PMDG.That said, I am confronted with now revisiting my initial plans about cockpit hardware and reconsidering VRInsight Combo II MCP. Question #1 is: Does the VRI unit come with all the buttons & button labels "pre-installed" onto the device or does the end-user (ME) have to install buttons and/or glue button decals onto the VRI unit? This will be a major consideration in my final decision. I am not artistically inclined and doing such would be a major PITA for me. Therefore anyone who purchased the VRInsight Combo II new... I would appreciate knowing thanks.Robert McDonald
  6. Hello,i am new in using Linda. I bought the MCP Combo(1) round about one year ago and used only the SerialFP2 Software. Now i am very very happy to hear from Linda....sounds sooo cool for me because my iFly 737 for FSX wont work with the SerialFP2 software ( most of the EFIS knobs and so on )Ok, so i have downloaded the Linda version 1.10 and copied the files into the FSX Modules folder.FSUIPC 4.751a are installed, ComPort of MCP Combo is set and Linda says all is ok on the Summary Screen, also the Setup MCP Combo Screen says all is OK.Now in the FSX i have loaded the iFly aircraft and the Dispays of SPD, HDG and ALT are syncron in MCP Combo. Also i can use the Knobs for CRS, SPD, HDG and ALT in the MCP Combo to change the settings in FSX. That works. But all other knobs are not working. No one knob on the EFIS site of the MCP wont work and also no other. As an Aircraft is the iFLY 737 selected and FSX synced by Linda. On the MCP Combo Screen are all the Buttons and switches assigned, but no one will work.( i will add some pictures ) here : http://www.starflight-virtual.de/Linda/pic.zipWhat do i wrong here ???Pleas help me ... thanks a very lotMatthias
  7. after new installation of FSX x Lind s not connecting to the ma Side Stick Hotas Warthog and Throttel Hota warthog anymore i follwed the instruciton to disconnect both devised re-boot the computer started Linda and connected both devise. no change any support to get this solved is very much appreciated thanks werner
  8. After burning several good hours that could’ve been used actually flight simming, I’m reaching out to the community. I have the VR Insight MCP Combo 1. I bought it in 2008 and it worked originally great with FSX. Now after all these years I’m running FSX SE, Linda, and a variety of Go Flight modules and want to include my MCP beyond more than a night light and an ornament on my glare shield. The MCP is responding to inputs, and Linda is showing three greens, but beyond that I’m lost. Getting this integrated has been my goal for over a week, and it is the last item for me to call this phase of my home cockpit complete. Not looking to fly anything more complex than Carenado A36 Bonanza, default 747-400/737-800 and Cool Sky DC-9. Thanks in advance for any and all advice!
  9. Hello there!Wierd behavior occuring off two buttons on the Throttle Quadrant of my Hotas Warthog. The 'RED' button on the throttle handle will release (but not set) the parking brake (?). I want it to reset the altimeter when I'm using REX real time weather. I went into FSUIPC and programmed the button to send the keystroke which I set up in FSX for altimeter reset (( ; )) it works ok and does reset the altimeter if REX Weather is operating. It ALSO kicks the parking brake OFF (if it's set) but doesn't cause it to come back on if I press the button again. From this I deduce:The button may be sending a braking command, which also turns off the parking brake.Darned if I can find out why this is happening. I use LINDA as well, I have NOTHING set in LINDA for the Red button. I use linda to fly my PMDG 737NGX.Spent a LOT of time on this with no joy.I did have TARGET software on the system, removed it (should I be worried there may be detritus from Target causing a problem?) Also temporarily tried out the G13 keypad but was not able to get it to work with FSX at all, so never programmed any buttons for it. I very well MIGHT have programmed the red button on the throttle handle to activate the parking brake in FSX - any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
  10. Hi, I receive this pop up window during a prepar3d v4 flight. I am using Linda 3.0.1 My keyboard becomes unresponsive and sometime VRi Combo II or Seitek controls. Any advice? Thanks Dave
  11. Hi all. I am struggling to get Linda to make "bigger strokes" when using the X-55 trim buttons (wheel) on the throttle, its painfully slow. I have set up FSUICP according to this thread to make the aileron Trim faster using OFFSET SWORD Increment / Decrement http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=40237#p303155 This works a treat, but as its a button assignment I really want Linda to do this for me not FSUIPC, can anyone help me with the required Linda code please. Many thanks Rog.
  12. Hello, I am in a flat spin heading out to sea..... ( I am running P3Dv4.4 64bit | Windows 10 Pro) In the quest for a mouseless flight Sim experience, I purchased Reality XP GNS 530W/430W V2 a few days ago; and am very excited to have it, I am building a panel for it, dual pole + push button encoders etc.. Master will hopefully be NO_BEZEL on a 7 inch HDMI screen, the secondary will be installed as per A2A or Popup.. So I need full functionality on the home built panel in each aircraft, the secondary panel on the cockpit dash is purely visual and does not need to do anything except look the part. That said, I am new to panel building and I am not used to programming, but have up until now been able to use LInda Lua and FSUIPC to programme my Encoders and Buttons.. After reading the RXP manual, and looking at the ini files I am totally confused. Hopefully someone can unconfuse me..... Please 😃 I have already discovered that the Linda LIB: RealityXP module does not work Q1) if I am using Linda Lua to assign buttons, is it necessary as well to add the required key strokes, for example "SHIFT+CTRL+M" to the list found in n:\Users\<name>\Documents\Reality XP\GNS Simulation\FltSim\RealityXP.GNS.ini ? I would prefer just to use a Lua function in Linda as below which does the same thing. function RXP_530_MSG () ipc.keypress(77, 11) --DspShow("R530", "MSG") end Q2) Where can the control names for each button be found? Are they listed in the xml file found at n:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\GNS Simulation\FltSim\modeldef (RealityXP GNS V2).xml ? The reason why I am in a flat spin heading out to sea is, the message button in the modeldef (RealityXP GNS V2).xml document is named RXP_GNS_MSG_BUTN_n In the RealityXP.GNS.ini file its named as MSG_n = (keystroke values), And looking at the Linda LIB: Reality XP Module this calls for a function named RXP_530_MSG Q3) Where is this control RXP_530_MSG found in which ini or xml file? Q4) What advantage is there in not using the default Sim Commands? I hope this makes sense, Many Thanks. Roger
  13. OK- I'm asking for some help. First, my hat is off and my wallet is about to open (to donate) to LINDA Developers! GREAT program, far better than the drivel that Logitech provides ("T.A.R.G.E.T.") or FSUIPC alone. As a budding PMDG 737NGX pilot I have been steadily climbing the hardware acquisitions ladder. At present Linda is joyfully controlling my 737NGX via my Logitech HOTAS Warthog Throttle and Joystick Combo. As an aside, I would love to have LINDA be able to fully recognize and implement the quite inexpensive Logitech G13 Gamepad. The G13 has 22 G-buttons and 3 Shift modes, that means about 66 buttons in total, plus an LED READOUT! and a mini-joystick. Linda "sees" this as a 1-button 0-hat device (wrong!). If it could be added to the list of supported gamepads for LINDA, I would personally donate $50 to Linda developers! How fair is that?I think LINDA is a very fine product and a HUGE addition to FSX.All encouragement to the developer team - and please add full support for the G13 as you have for the Warthog!Robert
  14. Flying a DeltaVA online event tonight from KMSP to KHDN, I had no issues or problems with the following running:Linda 1.6FSUIPC 4.7x (latest)REX 2.0 HD realtime weatherVatsimDeltaVA ACARSFlight Sim Commander 9 displaying flight position on realtime mapUNTIL I got close to landing, and ATC started asking me to fly headings. Suddenly, for some unknown reason, I noted the aircraft would not turn to new HDGs I loaded on the MCP whilst CMD A -or- CMD B were lit! I had to hand-fly the airplane. In addition, it missed the GLS and the throttles wouldn't slow the plane down upon landing and I had to execute a missed approach. On the second try, the plane DID catch the GLS and I was able to land ILS.I noted as well that at a certain point during the 600+ nm flight, the altitudes for the waypoints suddenly disappeared and VNAV suddenly became inoperative. I had to load 3 fixes into the FMC and then reenter the ROUTE into the FMC and rerun the Takeoff configuration and then the VNAV became operational.I seem to rememember some "issues" with 3rd party weather, wondering if FS Commander 9 and REX are "at war" somehow and causing unexpected results. Also, I keep having to restart FSX following updates to FSDreamteams GSX (Ground Services X) which is a MAJOR irritant. If anyone has any suggestions on these concerns, I'm all ears, thanks in advance.
  15. I would like to request for consideration to the next 737NGX SP that there be put in place programmable keys to operate each door on the airplane. Yes, you can do it from within the 2 page "DOORS" area on the FMC/CDU unit. That's convoluted as opposed to being able to assign key commands to operate each door separately, and why not include a "close all doors" and "open all doors" while we're dreaming?Folks who use one way or another to control the airplane with hardware could then assign button commands using Linda or FSUIPC or simply manually hit the key combos to open the doors, instead of having to plow through the FMC/CDU and mouse-click.It's a "LITTLE" thing that could make a "BIG" improvement for those of us with older eyes who prefer to press an actual button or switch in lieu of precisely placing the mouse on the FMC.Just hoping, is all. That said, doff of the cap to the NGX. AMAZING airplane, only one I fly. Stunning achievement in every way.Robert
  16. I'm new to Linda and followed the manual so far to make my first steps. It's said that one may delete any Lua related entries in FSUIPC and assign buttons to Lua files later. But I did not find how to do this. I tried to create a function in the User library: ipc.runlua("MyPath") and assigned it to a button but that didn't work. Thanks for any help to understand how this is done.
