I put together this short video to showcase how X-plane 10 looks with freeware photo scenery. Pretty darn good I would say! This isn't even at full settings. I'm running a i7 920 @ 4ghz and a ATI 5870 with 1gb Vram (Xplane is hungry for video ram so 1gb is pretty average). Hopefully more people will realise just how amazing Xplane 10 can be and start supporting it. I just got it one week ago and it's already impressed me. Its a keeper! Cheers, Steve

Looking up the Eisacktal valley along the Eastern Rhaetian Alps - Dolomites boundary from just east of Bolzano, Italy. (Please note the lens flare was added after the screenshots were taken, and not rendered in FSX) I wish FSX had an accurate Rayleigh scattering rendering like the blue haze in X-Plane which would make these kind of screenshots so much more realistic. I also wish FSX had a dynamic sun lens flare depiction so that its brighter and more intense during midday and smaller and softer during sunrise/sunset.

In the northern Italian Alps, about 70Km south of Innsbruck in Austria is a very strange airfield located, called Locher airfield(LOCH) with an only 500m steep descending grasfield. But a PC12 is capable to airborn from thanks to the gained rolloff-speed via the steep descending strip. In this very short hop of only 17Km land southwards on Bolzano(Bozen in German) airport(LIPB). Hereby some shots of that short flight. Th PC12 is from SWS:
