  1. This is the response I received from Zendesk after reporting several CTD. PS: I am not able to remove and reinstall English Language Pack. Crashes happens when opening certain menus/general settings Solution: Install or reinstall the English (United States) Language Pack Go to Language Settings > Speech > Manage Voice If the English (United States) Language Pack is already installed Select the voice package English (United States) Click on Remove Click on Add voices In the search bar type "English" Reinstall the English (United States) Language Pack If the English (United States) Language Pack is not installed Click on Add voices In the search bar type "English" Install the English (United States) Language Pack If the problem persists after (re)installing the US language pack, remove and reinstall all the other language packs installed on the system as they may be corrupted. Crashes happen in the same region/location If the crash to desktop happens at the same location every time, please file a bug report. Make sure to include the coordinates of the zone. Our QA team will investigate and add the location to the backlog if necessary. If your issue is not listed in the Known issue list please do the following: If the issue appeared after a patch, you might need to do a clean install but before doing so: Remove all add-ons from the Community Folder Relaunch the sim We have found that some crash to desktop are caused by community creation that are not compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator. If the sim stops crashing, add back the community content one by one until you found the add-on that is causing the crash. If the sim keeps crashing after removing the community content (or if you don't have any community created content installed on the machine) Check that your antivirus is not flagging an element from the new update Update or rollback your drivers Update Windows manually Finally, if none of the above worked, repair and/or re-install the sim to eliminate the possibility that the installation is corrupted. 2. Hello, Having read through some fourm history here about the BEX CTD I was wondering if there's been any new ideas on how to fix it. This error seems to be a slippery one. But lucky for me it only happens when I close FSX and not during a flight so far anyway. And I'm kind of nervous about renaming my fsx.cfg file or deleting any Facilities,Scenery,Shader folders. Thanks for any help. 3. Hello! As the title suggests i need help with some wierd problems. i have enjoyed fsx steam for 3700 hours. After a fresh reinstall of FSX STEAM i have been experincing crashes 15 to 10 minutes into the flight, and i dont have any autogen/3d objects(buildings, trees, etc). I reinstalled because of the no autogen/3dobjects. but even on a fresh install and no addons, no tweaks in the CFG and anything else didn´t touch the settings, i get the crashes 15 to 10 minutes into flight (NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE even with addons and tweaked cfg) and oddly enough no 3d/autogen objects. Please help i am quite lost here. I have tried the UIautomationcore.dll thing and compatibility mode setting in proberties. I have reinstalled multiple times today to no avail, i am quite sad over here! Any help would be usefull! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pictures taken at friday harbour with default settings, cfg and no addons. http://imgur.com/z6l4Nad http://imgur.com/KSuXY24 http://imgur.com/8sot3In ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Regards Oscar!
  4. I find myself having to go back to DX9. I have too many airports that have lighting issues, even with the DX10 fixer. I do miss the bloom effect so I decided to try the 24h EMB Mod. WOW! Awesome! I do have some CTDs, even when running FSX in WinXP SP3 compatability mode. Has anyone successfully been able to run the EMB Mod without CTDs? If yes, can you share your driver version and or settings? Anyone with any knowledge, please share advice. Thanks. Jose
