Folks I downloaded the latest version of the Majestic Dash 8. I had issues with it pausing. I checked out the Majestic forum and found I wasn't alone. I narrowed it down to FSX ATC. Often, when it was talking to anyone, it would pause. Hadn't run into it before, and since I wasn't alone, I figured it was a Majestic issue. Nope. Now it's happening with my QW RJ. My current log book has 70 hours with the thing, so if it was a QW problem it would have appeared before now. Something is not right, and it's really, really annoying. The installs lately are: ASN PMDG T7 (which has pausing issues, doesn't it? I wonder if they're connected) Razbam Metro JF DC-8 CLS 742 A2A Cherokee AF Anson (not yet flown...) ASN isn't even the common denominator. I flew a test ride in the DH8D using default weather. I noticed it once in the J41, but didn't think much of it. Something is screwy. Anyone got any ideas? Mike

Hello, I have been having long pauses and freezes with the 777 from day one and have not had the chance to do a whole flight as this issue was driving me crazy. Well, someone asked me to try and deactivate the FSUIPC autosave and try it. I just completed two short flights (EDDF-EGLL and back) and had ZERO pauses or freezes of any kind. The flights were amazing. I am going to try a long haul flight and see how that one goes. Will report tomorrow. It looks like in my case, the problem was with the FSUIPC settings. Not sure if anyone esle can get their pause/freeze issues corrected by doing this but it worked for me. Thank you McLaren and B247NG for your suggestions. Now, Let's Go Flying!!!!! B) Regards, llavi01

Just wondering if anyone else has seen a long (2-3 second pause) at FSDT KORD and if there is a solution? It ONLY happens at night in my PMDG 777-300ER. I went to FlightBeam's KIAD and the issue was not there. Just at KORD. My Gate was B22. I have not tried it at any other gate at KORD but believe it will occur there too as it happens as I taxi to the takeoff runway too. Very annoying. Looks like it coincides with night lighting that flashes. Thanks for any assistance. Best regards,

Folks, I'm a little mystified by what's going on. Some time ago I was running a Dell XGS computer with a 3.6 GB Pentium, 2 GB of RAM, and a 7500 rmp hard drive. FSX had some jittery little stutters in turns, and the frame rate slowed a lot in heavily populated areas. But it was enjoyably flyable.I'm now running the ASUS P-67 Sabretooth mobo @ 3.42 Ghz with a core - i7-2600K cpu, 6 GB of fast RAM, and a 10K rmp hard drive. The sim is almost unflyable. The "stutters" are more like pauses. It is almost impossible to line up with the runway, or even fly with any precision at all. I have the sim on a hard drive by itself, and all of the sliders down to minimum. Not much change, if any - long pauses, jittery turns, sometimes locks on pan.Does anyone have any experience with this particular video card, or this set of symptoms who can shed some light on fixing it? I'm just amazed that hardware with this much capability has actually degraded my performance.Thanks.Dewey
