Hi, PMDG Team!

 

First, I wish to thank you how quickly put at our disposal the installer for your products for the new Prepar3D v3.

 

Now, the problem (if this is a problem):

After a clean install and after uninstalled P3D v2.5, I must say that apparently everything works fine, except that closing the simulator warns me that there were errors that can be found in the "C: \ Users \ Gerard \ Documents \ Prepar3D v3 Files \ ContentErrorLog.txt "

I haven't a clue what it is trying to tell you, aside from the obvious.

 

Can you give me a run down on anything else that you have installed that might interact with the panel.cfg files or aircraft.cfg files for our products?  Any third party apps such as FS2Crew or an ipad app, etc?

 

It is worth pointing out that none of the product files were changed for this update- so we are probably looking for something unusual here...

I'm having this issue too. All I have installed is P3Dv3 and the NGX and T7 packages. It doesn't appear to be all aircraft just a few. Below is the error log I got...

I had a quick look in the T7LR panel.cfg and all appears to be fine (no duplicates i can see)

Having the same problem here plus major loss of click spots in VC!

 

Have only tried 737 so far.

 

Clean install with no other addons except ASN.

 

Applaud for fast installers though

FWIW: I get the same error message and ContentErrorLog. Only 737 and 777 on a vanilla install of P3D v3.

 

And kudos to the team for providing an installer so quickly! Amazing work.

Same error also for me. Clean P3D install, no addon scenery, only 737 base package. Downloded the new installer. I'm not even able to register the product since the dialog doesn't appear at aircraft startup.

Never mind, activation successful (was a SimConnect issue). However duplicate stil persist.

Gents-

 

We have reviewed this and the conclusion is as follows:  You can ignore it.

 

There is one error here that we will correct in a future update (the duplicate SMOKE SYSTEM entry in the 900WL aircraft.cfg file).  It is harmless and does not consume any resources.

 

The remainder of the errors logged are the result of Lockheed Martin setting a logging parameter that picks up on a technique that we use to instance gauge processes that take place in multiple places around the cockpit.  (Lighting, etc.)

 

I'm not sure why they flag it as an error- it isn't.

 

As we recommended with FSX- if you aren't a developer we recommend turning that logging off.  It creates more false instances than it does useful information.
