November 23, 200817 yr Can we install this Dx9 Nov redist. package update over the existing directX install & 180 driver?-jk

November 23, 200817 yr Well, I can say that this driver is a big improvement for me. Improved IQ noticeably. I've been putting it through the paces for just a day but, I haven't seen any negatives associated with it. Overall, performance seems a bit more robust than before. I had stayed with the old 169 drivers up till now, as I hadn't heard alot of good things about the subsequent drivers. The 180.48 is a keeper for me.Regards,Jeff
November 24, 200817 yr I have to admit, these new drivers seem to help a little, especially in heavy clouds! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 24, 200817 yr Anyone notice, in full screen mode if you press ALT to bring up the menu, then later hold down alt to remove it, a line is left along the top. Its like a few pixels at the top of the menu remain.I noticed if I press alt-enter , then return to full screen that cleans up the line. This may have been an issue before these drivers too?2nd thing - IQ looks very nice, but I see more popping of textures as I fly over areas near the plane. Seems to be trying to bring in even more detail than before, but that takes away from the sim effect at times? November 24, 200817 yr >>>known issue.. we think its the file itself..>>download the full redist package instead of the web installer>I'm a little confused. I am using Vista 64. The only redist file I saw on Microsoft's website was for DX9.0c. Shouldn't there be a redist file for DX10 if you are a Vista user? Thank you.
November 24, 200817 yr I've seen this on my LCD every once in a while and agree that switching b/w window and full-screen mode cleans up the screen, but IIRC, also switching b/w 2D and VC also does the job as well.Regards, Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
November 24, 200817 yr >Image Quality :)Thanks!I look forward to the day when we converse entirely in acronyms, and stop expressing ideas with all those tiresome and long-winded words. Then we can just text each other, and never have to speak again - open mouths are just an entry route for germs, vehicle fumes, other peoples' cigarette smoke. If they'd done it four hundred years ago, Shakespeare could have got Romeo to fix up his balcony tryst with Juliet with the simple text 'UOK?IOK!CU@8-2M8!'BBFN :-wave Petraeus Petraeus
