Yup, virtually all MS Windows operating systems if you read the "Systems Requirments" (big) paragraph listing all the OS's 1/2-way down the page.

It's silly to type out "Microsoft Flight Simulator" several times per post when everyone already knows what FS9/FSX/MSFS/FS mean.

Those entities live for this stuff. :-lol As for the "kiddy/leet-speak" to which you refer, it drives me nuts. An afternoon on virtually any forum is enough to demonstrate the decline of our education system. Too many people using computers when they would be better served by sitting down with a good book. Here's a tip. Learn to spell real words! :-hah Then, maybe, someone might take you seriously one day.Sorry for the mini rant.Regards,Jeff

Everyone responding in this thread seem to be mentioning FSX. How do these new drivers affect FS9? or are they specifically meant for FSX or Vista? Should they be installed if running FS9?Thanks.A Concerned and Curious Flight SimmerPaul.

Not workin' in this rig! Get a graphic corruption and freeze. Tried two different files, one from nV the other from 3DGuru or whatever it was, no luck. Still have the best results (XP32-SP2) with the old 6.14.11.6921 driver. Hi Paul,Absolutely. They are excellent for me in FS9 so far.Regards,Jeff

I downloaded the directx_nov2008_redist.exe right from Microsoft's site. When running the installer, it wants to know the location where you want the extracted files to go. Where do they go?

Create a folder anywhere you want to and extract the files to that folder. Then, go into that folder, find the .exe (there's lots of files in there), run the .exe. When everything's installed you can keep that folder or delete it if you want to.-jk
