At the top of their forum page, first link, here at Avsim. http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=240125 It's a beta, but no one is having any issues because of that, so SP1 will probably be out very soon. I'm really loving ASA so far.Btw, SPs are always posted here in their support forums, so that's where I look, as opposed to the website.
Very good info...thanks a mil! I suppose I'll wait for the full SP1 to be released before I upgrade :(

I've been using it since shortly after release with no issues. Given the wide variations between computer hardware and all the add-ons one uses, there are times when conflicts crop up and then add-on developers have to work to find out where the conflicts lie. Given that not everyone suffered the OOM error or even had the same symptoms leading up to the OOM error, it makes it even harder to sort. For FS9, it adds some new features and refines others that have made it worth it in my opinion. I've noticed an increased occurrence of terrain induced down and updrafts that has made mountain flying more challenging and realistic. I also like the fact that you can actually set limits in terms of feet per minute rather than percentages. There are other settings that allow more refinement than ASV and AS6 do as well.

Very good information, thanks! I definitely understand the variations in hardware/software, but I would likely be one of those who gets the dreaded OOM issues :( I did look at ASA extensively and like the myriad of options available now. For the time being, I'll sit on my wallet and see what happens with the update. I'm a patient man :(

I bought ASA, mainly for improved FSX surface visibility. I'm not sure it provides any real improvement for FS9, except maybe the "snapshot" system for adding environment textures (I only have ASG, so it's a "don't care" for me).scott s..

I actually haven't used it for FSX yet. All that I mentioned has been from my experience with ASA in FS9. The simulation of turbulence and updrafts/downdrafts are greatly improved it seems.

I downloaded Advanced yesterday. All I can say to describe is "awesome". You'll love the crosswinds and turbulance. It adds a whole new dimension to flying small aircraft. This is a "must have".

Any i7 users running ASA? How's the performance in FS9?

Well, I decided to buy the ASA upgrade the other day and haven't used the beta update. I have made several flights that were almost 2 hours in length each and have had no issues at all. But, I thought at every update interval, there would be a text message that flows across the screen about current conditions or passing a certain fix or waypoint based on the imported flight plan. It only happens when I start at an airport and says it's initializing and then another after it has completed. That's it.Also, 122.0 only gives current conditions at that moment in flight but doesn't give current conditions at dest. airport. What's up with that?

It's all by design. There is no scroll any more, the updates are transparent (i.e. invisible to the user). As for destination conditions, I think that's on 122.20 now :) Read the manual, it's in there :)

Yeah, curiosity got the best of me and I finally opened the manual :(
