Both installers were updated to install a Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable that is required to operate this software. On x64 systems you get TWO installations, on x86 systems you just get one. Make sure you install the redistributables if the installer requests it!

The update installer with my Vista 64 installation asked to do either a repair installation or uninstallation of the VS2008 redistributable on the first instance. I purchased PMDG MD11 for FSX soon after it came out in 2008. I've installed it in FSX on my PC running XP Pro. The location of my FSX installation is the M drive. The MD11 works fine, the Load manager also works with no problems. However, when I try to install the update for FSX, I get a popup with an error message "This setup has detected that no version of PMDG_MD11_FSX is installed. This update requires that a previous version of the application be installed." I don't know if your update installer is suffering from myopia? or maybe the presence of an FS9 installation (without PMDG MD11) is confusing it? Hopefully you can suggest a solution other than reinstalling the product.ThanksDavid Jones

Yes thanks for the patch.I too find the DOME lights no longer work in the VC. And the "thunderstorm" lights look worse than before the patch.

Ttry using the emergency lights as the dome light works great.

Captains-I have just made live the PMDG MD-11 v1.10.0051 for BOTH FSX and FS2004!This update brings both the FSX and FS9 versions to parity, includes a significant number of updates for the FSX version, and slightly more than a dozen for the FS9 version.

I can confirm this... I have been using the GE freight variant a lot in LH/GEC clothing... I will check the GE passenger variant later to see if that is improved.I installed the patch update over the original installer, as I was unable to get the new full installer in time before my link expired...Perhaps the fix wasn't added to all models? Are you all working on another patch to get the little stuff fixed in fsx. I.e. the domelight and etc. When do you think you will all have it ready by? Not a big deal and I won't care if you don't meet that deadline. :(

I have the same problem with the buttons. I have installed MD-11 with my existing installer which I downloaded on the 1st day the product was released, and updated with the current update.Talking about FS9 version.

I guess you should try to buy the MD-11. This happens with pirated copies...
