RXP marketing issues seem to be the core of this discussion and it is common knowledge that caveat emptor applies to all markets and all products including our own.It is also fairly common knowledge that RXP Units are in simplistic terms an FS Interface to Garmins own Training Software.I've acknowledged that there is no issue with free enterprise or JLs Pricing Policies as long as buyers are provided facts about products.There does seem to be an almost worshipful attitude towards JL and what he has accomplished with his FS Interface and that is simply unrealistic approach. :( Anyway, Happy July 4th to ALL :(

No Ron, you did not attack JL but the way you worded your comment hints that it was really a simple task to program an interface with the Garmin trainers and whether intentional or not reads disrespectful. I think I have gotten to know you well enough that you weren't belittling another programmer but you can understand how others that don't know you might read into it that way.And yes, a happy 4th to all Americans :(

These arguments are getting really old.If someone perceives value in this, or any other RXP product, they will pull out their credit card and pay for it. Just that simple.Just as I will for (hopefully) my fourth ES Cirrus SR in my fleet when the MindStar Garmin 1000 equipped version is released. I will have then spent over $100 for the same Cirrus family of aircraft. And I will enjoy them all. And will pay for all the versions offered.Some folks may say purchasing several versions of the 'same' aircraft is just too much. But we (who see their value, and desire each) all know they are not the same, just as this new RXP product is not the same as what is currently offered. As with Geof, I do not have a 'need' for dual GPS's in my aircraft, nor do I have a 'need' for TCAS, and some, like the ES Cirrus, I will probably stick to a 'default' GPS in the second slot, as that allows the flight plan and approach to display on the ES Avidynes.But the bottom line is this (as buying yet another Cirrus) is my, and others choice. If you do not want to pay for that choice, then don't.
