It's supposed to look like the 757... :(

I think I'll stick with the Level-D version. It gives me 10 FPS more than those screenshots indicated, and honestly, I don't see anything wrong with the LDS version. Plus I know the LDS has VNAV that works properly...Functionality and Performance > Looks

Man, I'm so used to vaporware, I got caught flat-footed on this one. For once coming soon meant it!Is the 767 very much to the same level as the 757 4.3? As in, the 4.3 upgrade was the 767 efforts put to good use on the 757? :-)I would be most curious about the differences between the 757 and 767, e.g. night lighting in the vc, sound issues, etc.

Not so fast: I consider myself a hardcore flight simmer and love the depth of the LDS 763, HOEVER, the grafix are poor by today's standards.Good griafix are essential to the suspension of disbelief. Provided the CS 763 is on a par for depth, not including fault modeling since I never use that anyhow, then I will "upgrade" my 763.PLUS, PLUS, the functional weather radar is SWEET since I use FS Passengers.

Once someone can prove to me that the VNAV works like the LDS 767 does, and NOT like the CS 757 (doesn't), and that it gets better FPS than the 757, I'll consider getting it. Having a pretty slideshow doesn't interest too many of us. Airliners.net is good for that, and its free. You could easily put a popup for the RXP weather radar in the LDS 767. In fact I think there is someone on their support forum that got it in the VC too.

Only for the FS9 version.
and that it gets better FPS than the 757
So far it appears to be about the same. Not an issue for me as I am on the verge of a major upgrade from a core 2 duo to i7.

I just took the CS 757 demo for a quick flight (not so easy in the demo as the flight controls are locked). Interestingly the framerates for the 757 demo (V4.1) were about 35fps compared to about 30fps I was getting from the LevelD 767. Of course the FMC and instruments in the 757 demo were blanked out so I don't know whether framerates would drop with these working.Anyone with the 757 who can compare the framerates from the demo version to the full version?I'm starting to be tempted. The CS 757 VC sure looks nicer than the LevelD 767 but then I've never had a problem with the LevelD 767. The LevelD has no real bugs and it flies great.

I have good frames with the 757 and I never had frame rate problems , if your system is properly configured you should see at the most a 5 FPS reduction in "certain views" and thats that. It's a great airplane. I don't care if every little thing runs per the aircarft it's a sim.
