and I guess they could remove the rear cabin from the Mustang but the result will be pretty much the same.. that rear cabin is not hitting systems like people think it is. By the time they get finished removing bits and parts from the plane it could help a little here and there, .. but then you dont have the same aircraft and the relief is not going to give back a large amount of FPS either. Cessna may not have liked seeing the plane offered like that since the arrangement was different than just a simple "use our name and logo" license deal.
I highly doubt that Cessna would remove official approval of the F1 Mustang, because a configurator was added to customize some display elements! ...... they'd probably be happier that more people could use a 'cessna' product, as at present the add-on, as good as it is, has a 'mid to high end systems only' stigma about it, which I think it partly deserved.Without any technical justification, I don't accept that removing the highly detailed and rendered virtual rear cabin 'wouldn't improve frames as much as you think'. If the CPU is not needing to render that beautiful cabin, it will save cycles and experience with other add-ons is that this save can be significant. ie... Feelthere Airbus Series 1 came with a (yuk) virtual cabin that could not be removed and with my typical settings at EGLL I get 20 FPS. The Airbus Series 2 replaced the virtual cabin with fixed wing views, and average FPS in the same location is 28 FPS. That's quite a boost, and I would appreciate that % of boost in the Mustang.

3D rendering is based strictly on 'draw call' load... not how much is visible. (<-- technical justification)Removal of the cabin area may very well not change frame rates.

I've seen many youtube vids on the Flight1 Citation Mustang as well as screenshots and it looks like the real deal honestly. It may be your best bet for a business jet or a private jet if you like to think of yourself as the CEO of a small company when you simulate :(. If that doesn't stray you enough then look for a flight1 logo on this webpage! Now lets be real now. There are still many pilots that frown upon flight simulation and think its arcade, when it actually isn't and Cessna knows. If they can put the Flight1 Mustang on the page, when the target market is probably not going to be flight simulators probably, then it is probably a damn good product...http://cessna.com/citation/mustang.html

I disable the copilot PFD as well, which helps me a little with FPS in the VC. - Ability to disable the FO's displays (via a GUI, not unauth'd tweaks to cfg files).
hello, i found your posting in this helpful forum and have a question about the option to disable the first officer display via changing the cfg file of the citation mustang. what has to be changed in the cfg to disable the copilots display? best regards from germany & sorry for my bad english, christian
