Any opinions on Wilco vs Eaglesoft V 2.0. I have the ES Ver 1.0 and am not impressed. To be fair though, it is an old product .

What's your impression Rudi? :(
Ron, I really like your ES Citation X v2...the right blend of beauty, complexity, and high fidelity in a FSX add-on. There's been some quibbles about the virtual cockpit in this one...I do prefer a more 3-D detailed VC but am certainly satisfied with this one, particularly in light of all of its other assets...flight model, FMS, exterior model. etc :( . I waited a long time to purchase this one; despite the other choices out there, this is the one I wanted.Truthfully, I'm still getting to know this one and haven't had the time I need to really learn all of its capabilities; I'm really looking forward to the tutorial that's in the works.

Wow!! That's quite a thread goin' on over there! Seeing that ES offers a moneyback guarantee I'm gonna spring for the FS9 version. It's the systems modelling and FMC that I'm interested in. Hopefully the MFD ND and PFD are legible. They are definitely not in Ver 1.0. Not on my system anyway.

Nothing to lose and if you are a systems guy you'll find some very realistic stuff but we warn you that there is a learning curve and she won't let you skip steps. :(

Legibility in both the 2d and virtual cockpit is very good. You can zoom in on the MFD messages in the VCif you want more detail.

Thanks Bert, the "very good" part is music to our ears and hope the same is true for others. :(

Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 offers nothing at all over the (2.5 year old) Wilco model and the VC is worse. One to avoid in my opinion. And I say that as one who owns and loves the Eaglesoft Beech 400 jet ... but this Citation X 2.0 is a huge disappointment for how long we waited. "slightly better than the ancient Version 1.0, which looked like it was for FS98".opnions, they're all valid aren't they.greets from norway.

Too late, folks aren't "avoiding it" at all and as others will testify they are enjoying it as well. :( Opinions are indeed subjective and we all have them. Yours seems to have a bias toward Wilco and against Eaglesoft but that is to be expected from you. :( The "offers nothing at all over the 2.5 year old Wilco model and the VC is worse" statement is questionable as oulined in my last line here. :( The "slightly better than the ancient Version 1.0, which looked like it was from FS98" statement falls in the same biased opinion category as the first. B) Looks like we're going to have to produce a chart to deliniate the differences between the two since you and a few others can't seem to distinguish the differences. B)

Opinions are valid so long as they're based on some experience...have you actually purchased and flown the Citation X 2.0? I've been a bit spoiled by the Flight1 Mustang cockpit, so I also wish the new ES Citation VC was more along that line graphically...but I don't regret buying this bizjet, whose FMS, systems, and flight model are more than satisfying to me. Recommended.

Thanks Rudi, there is a nice surprise for CX2.0 owners down the road but can't say more at this time.Ok, back to work on Hotfix 1.82. :(

What a truely ridiculous thing to say. The two models are about as far apart as FS9 and FSX are. Even coming from me; one of those who puchased, but then chose to return the ES Cit-X for refund, I cannot standby without mentioning that comment. The only reason I returned mine, was that I didn't like the VC, not that it was inacurate, or didn't work - I just didn't like it (the beauty of purchasing with the F1 wrapper). If I were a great Citation-X fan and had to have one, it would most definately be the Eaglesoft version. It has an outstanding flight model and a dream to hand fly.I only flew the Wilco version a couple of times, but still felt an immediate dislike for both the look and the feel of it.
