December 12, 200916 yr Eaglesoft's commitment to this product pretty much has me sold. As soon as I get some free time I'll buy it. -Alex
December 12, 200916 yr Commercial Member Actually adding a 2D panel can add significant devlopment time to an already major project. I don't know about the key commands. That's not really true... a 2D panel takes far less time to develop than a VC. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69

December 12, 200916 yr Ron, what information exactly is needed that requires a registered FSUIPC be present for the FSX CX 2.0 ?Cheers,Siggy Siggy Schwarz
December 12, 200916 yr Ron, what information exactly is needed that requires a registered FSUIPC be present for the FSX CX 2.0 ?Cheers,SiggyIn order for your controller to replicate the Citation's FADEC, it has to be calibrated using FSUIPC, and that option is available only to registered FSUIPC users. Otherwise, your controller will operated the Citation's throttle in the FSX default, linear manner with no FADEC modes. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual

December 13, 200916 yr So you mean it needs to read one of the joystick axis (throttle) ?In laymans terms, FSUIPC allows some very complex code to "see" the location of a hardware throttle lever position to allow for a really nice FADEC operation to be simulated.Past that, there is little more we will offer in terms of tech discussion. As mentioned, if FSUIPC is not present then FADEC is rendered inop and throttle defaults to FS behaviour. :(

The extra expense kept me from buying. But no worries at all :-). Siggy Schwarz

But no worries at all :-).And so you should bypass this aircraft if you do not wish to own FSUIPC but please do not ignore the fact that throttles default to FS behaviour if FSUIPC is absent. We are aware of the "other ways" which can be quite clumsy in FSX but this is not a tech discussion.By the way, FSUIPC offers a number of unique features that every simmer should take advantage of.It has been called the "Swiss Army Knife" for flightsimmers for good reason but we do understand folks decision to not own it. :(
December 13, 200916 yr I agree. I wouldn't be without FSUIPC. It is a powerful little program. Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)

Although originally I wasn't gonna buy it just because I am more into piston ga aircraft-I did after my wife came home with a few useless xmas tidbits she had bought that cost the measily same-how is that for getting back at spending my money-my expenditure I already know will bring much longer interest/pleasure than her xmas trinkets-but at least we are both happy. :-lolI count this as one of the finest fs aircraft I have experienced-and I thank Ed for his clear, easy to read at any zoom level, and faithful real working avionics-along with a gazillion other cool things. The reality is amazing, but there is also lots of very cool eye candy like the lcd screen in the passenger compartment that tells the specs on the flight as it proceeds. I may just put the ship on autopilot and go have a glass of wine with that nice looking exec in the back and watch the screen...rather than spending the countless hours learning this ship in and out. On the other hand, I can see many, many hours of learning the ins and outs of this one.Congratulations to Eaglesoft for a masterpiece! Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

Many thanks Geof.Allow me to concur and say that Ed has accomplished something that is much more realistic in operation and feature set than can be seen on the surface. It becomes more and more apparent for those who have experience with the complexities of an advanced Corporate Jet as they dig deeper than the surface. Then allow me to say that each contributing Team Member and Beta Tester have excelled in each department. Finally a big thanks to Bob Hayes who's model looks and feels like a real Citation X 750. :( Finally thanks to the customers who've hung in there while we've worked thru the kinks, difficulties, and Hotfixes. :( Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. :(
