Just dropping in to say how much I love the Duke. My new favorite aircraft!! Only one small problem, I have had anti-ice and pilot heat on, but the air speed sensor has still dropped to zero. I run ASE and have "all but severe icing" on in fsuipc. Never seen it before, I am now at FL240 in Europe, chilling -40c temperatures, but unable to show any airspeed!! Do I need to disable icing all together in ASE?

I got the Duke, with the Reality XP GNS 530 WASS (which JUST got an updated World Navdata base, YEP!!!! cycle 0910 I believe), I also made a Fuel Mania profile for Vroute so we can have accurate flight planning with her....will be availbe soon! This is by far the best plane I've ever flown for FS...EVER! If you dont own it go get it, you will be laughin its so good. I loved it much I bought a real POH with a laminated checlist :( Seriously the guys that did this plane have such talent, I hope they do more planes.

I see the same since upgrading ASA -> ASE. Not sure what the solution is.

It is definitely a fantastic aircraft, as someone else has pointed out - sitting right up there with the L-39. Just wish that I had more simming time to fly them.. .. .. I had held off buying it until I replaced my machine, in the end I gave in and it still looks fantastic and the frame rate is still acceptable on the ground - fine in the air.For those that have had trouble with the pitot icing up, there is a fix for it:Open up the aircraft.cfg, go to [electrical], and change:pitot_heat=4, 5, 24 to pitot_heat=4, 5, 12Should fix it .. .. (Credit for the fix goes elsewhere on this forum, can't remember the users name !!)G

I can't wait to find out what RealAir are up to next. :)

The one thing I'd change on the Duke would be the option of worn textures on the VC and externally. This is just personal preference on my part but I've yet to get into the cockpit of a real-world aeroplane that looks as pristine as a RAS model. I guess there are reasons why not: more development time, perhaps lower frame rates?Cheers,Noel.

I would like to see a Royal Turbine conversion from RealAir.Sergio

A superb aircraft, and it loads amazingly quickly for a complex addon.

Great news! I thought they were considering it but not actually working on it.I passed my JAA ME/IR yesterday and the RealAir Duke + RXP 530 were very helpful. I am looking forward to the Royal Turbine conversion and some FSX turbine time. RealAir and RXP provide a great simulation to help keep me proficient at my IFR skills.

I'm starting to think that everybody around here just rents old & tired, trainer school specials... :( Because in real life, I've been in plenty of cockpits that look new and pristine. In fact, the last Duke I looked at looked very good. It was either well cared for, or re-furbished. Personally, I like the look of new, rather than worn & torn. It tormented me to rent old Cessnas & Pipers where the glareshield was beat to death by the sun. I either went for a new Cessna 172 or Diamond DA40.L.Adamson

Your bank account didn't care about your decisions? :(

Yes, if I didn't like airplanes, my house would be paid for. At the present schedule, I'll be 87..But an airplane does figure into my retirement plan. We fly to another state every month for lotto tickets...
