Bloom with ENB mod with minor FPS impact

Featured Replies

Hey, I don't mean to hijack, but this conversation turned into something I asked about...but it's not getting many hits in the fs9 forums. If some of you using this bloom file can take a look, I'd appreciate it. It has to do with that fuzzy/blurry effect that this bloom seems to produce...but I only noticed it while using SSAA.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=273325

I Have been using this and I have to say, it has really transformed the visuals for me, particularly with scenery. I use Photoscenery and sadly often the source image has wacky colours and looks washed out. With the right settings, this mod can make the scenery look just perfect, I am at work now, but when I get in, will post some comparative shots so you can see what I mean. As other posters have said, if you dont use the right settings, its crap, but when you get that golden combination, it can work wonders. Cheers, Mark

Hey. I'm using this tweak with Nick_N:s suggestions, and have some questions about it... I'm not sure when the tweak is on and off. ( :( ) So, let me demonstrate it. In which picture it's supposed to be on, and which one it's off? :DNormal mode, this is how FSX loaded itAfter pressing Shift + F1 (only change i made is to copy those keys from McDaniels edit

The top pic looks like its turned on. When I start my FSX the bloom mod starts turned on. The only thing I have changed in Nicks settings is I backed the night setting down a touch to make it not so dark, but darker than default.

Okay, thanks. I will now tweak it, since it is indeed too dark in the night time for my liking. :) But looks great still, earlier try it was too bright in the daytime, but this seems to be more mild, which makes it better. :(

I tried to change settings myself and than I used Nick's settings... but for my taste it's still either way too dark or way too bright, I can't get it "just right" or even close. :(

I'm using Nicks settings also. I like the look of the day but I had to change the Darking Amount Night setting to 30 from 35 where Nick had it set. For me 35 was way to dark at night, but 30 seems good on either a night with the moon or no moon.
