May 31, 201016 yr "NG2.0" instead of "NGX".Was it not the other way around NGX became NG2.0? Not to quip over small things like this! I could be wrong though. :(EDIT:oops, after checking the website it seems that it is 737 NGX. Guess I was wrong! :( Mike Keigley
May 31, 201016 yr Looks so good! Will buy this directly upon release. I will start the typerating course for the real 737-800 in august, so I hope that I will have this aircraft as help by then. :(
May 31, 201016 yr Well,I surprised myself saving pictures on my desktop to show them to some friends! I must say I am amazed by the level of details you guys put in, very well done.I haven't read each and every comments found on this forum, but I have some questions to ask and please don't flame me if already ask before:1-Same functionality of the MD11 (actions shortcuts on the MCDU, lightning, refueling)2-Same functionality of the J41 (speed charts, passenger layout, weight init IN the cockpit)3-P8 Poseidon external model, maybe sold separately?Again, keep up the good work!Jonathan Marsh
May 31, 201016 yr I should imagine the best features of previous PMDG offerings will be in there, particularly in relation to the J-41, since it was stated that it was something of a test bed/demonstrator for what the NG would bring. However, I suspect the Poseidon is a bit more in doubt, for one thing, PMDG have said on a few occasions that they don't make military aircraft. But even if they bend that rule, although based on raiding the parts bin for several 737 NG variants, the P8 is significantly different from other 737s in a lot of respects, especially in the systems it has, and it is considerably heavier than the 800 and 900 models of which it is a hybrid, so it will certainly have rather different flight characteristics. Unless the US Navy is prepared to let PMDG test fly one, a lot of its performance in a simulated version would be guesswork, and that is not something PMDG are noted for indulging in.You can put money on someone repainting one as a psuedo-P8 though, even if the P8 does not make it as an official variant from PMDG. Probably in a matter of days after it is released.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

May 31, 201016 yr I was referring to the framerate performance, not the aircraft flight performance. The MD-11 definitely gets better FPS than the 400X because it's newer and uses modeling techniques that are more advanced than what was used in the older 400X product.Just out of curiosity, has there been any thought way down the road toward doing a refresh of the 747-400X, using some of the newer technology developed in the successive products -- especially the 737 NGX and 777? While flying around in the 747-400X the other day after having spent a lot of time in the MD-11, it struck me that the 747-400X cockpit modeling looked a bit dated by comparison -- though I have to say, the 747-400X is still a beautiful plane.I understand if PMDG would not be at liberty to answer this -- it was really more of a rhetorical, food-for-thought kind of question. No response necessary.
May 31, 201016 yr Stunning work Vin & PMDG....now for a quickie question: are you including 3D passengers like the JS4100 (hopefully not) since it may hinder frame-rates in these new high-res sceneries (checkout NL2000 v4), airports and of course the aircraft.DarrylIn the cofiguration manager of the JS4100 you can disable the passengers, so my guess is that if PMDG are including 3D pax in the NGX you can turn it off there as well. May 31, 201016 yr Let's swing over to the right side for another sliver.... :(It looks amazing and professional. Is 600/700/800/900 going to be included in one package or will it be seperated like FS9 version (600/700 and 800/900)?RegardsPK Paul Kawalec Chicago O'Hare Int. Airport . May 31, 201016 yr Gents-Pricing will be well below $100... It is FAR too early to be setting pricing but I wouldn't expect it to be higher than $80 at the top-most...The initial release will not include a BBJ, but it will include the -600/700/800/900 and most of their sub-variants.The NGX will release before the Dash8...The Dash8 and 777 are both likely to be 2011 releases, but the NGX will not be TOO much longer....I think that covers the questions I saw above. :-D It looks amazing and professional. Is 600/700/800/900 going to be included in one package or will it be seperated like FS9 version (600/700 and 800/900)?RegardsPK no planned Fs9 version yet,,,you have to wait until ~FSX beta,, but dont get your hopes up,,i would switch to FSX think you misunderstood him mate. he said will it be seperate like the FS9 model, like the 600/700 and 800/900.Y'all misunderstood. Paulk787 asked if they were to be sold separately like the FS9 version or combined. Be didn't state anything though Robert did and related 4 days ago in stating that the NGX will be sold with all variants in one package save for a BBJ. June 1, 201016 yr Have to say I am really looking forward to the 737 coming out after a lay off from flightsimming of over 5 years the PMDG 737 is high on my must have.Really looking forward to this, pics look great, would like to see a larger shot. Getting married in August so hope for a nice wedding present when I get back ;)RegardsDarren Clare
June 1, 201016 yr Considering the price level Robert mentioned (IMO very low), the four different models, the detail and quality of the product and the more than excellent after sales and support I think that this will easily be the top selling FS product of all time. You people love what you do and this is fully reflected in what you deliver. My respect to the entire PMDG team and especially the fellow Greeks amongst you. June 1, 201016 yr i seriously cannot wait for the NGX. until now FSX has never had a top knotch realistic 737, or even a aircraft the size of the 737. PMDG's 737 will no doubt be amazing. i love the 737. it is the best selling airliner and will be amazing in fsx, probably like flying the real thing!!! is there anychance of a VC screenshot or a outside shot guys.cheers Dylan Leonard
