Apart from being in the wrong thread, why would we need another Boeing anyway ? What is it you think the 777 will offer that the 747 and the NGX can't provide?
It does not matter. If you go back and scan all PMDG forum threads far into the past (before you even joined Avsim) you would see that 777 is absolutely the most requested aircraft.
What is it you hope to learn by flying one that you don't already know?
As a real PPL pilot I personally would benefit little from an Airbus - I will never fly an Airbus in my whole life. Would I benefit more from a Boeing - probably yes because Boeing is closer to a Cessna than an Airbus. I would of course benefit a lot more from basic turboprops, the lighter the better, so give me Socata TBM850. :(

True enough, but there is something somewhat ridiculous loading up a 747 for a hop from, say, O'Hare to Cleveland. As someone who loves jets but has limited time, I am looking forward to the NGX in ways I can't even mention.
you should start flying some MD-11F and 747-400F routes then
My friend PMDG build aircrafts for hardcore users, i thing it because almost all the systems are acurate, and yes FSX is a flight sim....and if aircrafts of PMDG are hardcore then you must use it to SIMULATE not ARCADE as in real life flights and not making a trip of 150 miles with the 747 or MD-11.If you want to use it like this you can do it but you dont simulate ...you are playing ARCADE GAME..so you can play default airplanes which are for free!! Just think about it.Anyway i believe when NGX comes we will be all happy. For the airbus maybe PMDG dont have access to the data of the aircraft to simulate it so ..THEY KNOW BETTER.FOr the time we have an aircraft J-41 i believe PMDG buld more like this.A BAE-146 will be excellant!!Thanks
Look at you Mr. Smarty pants. Glad everyone kind of put you in your place. Short hop flights happen ALL THE TIME in the 744. Like someone said before, if you were as "hardcore" as you say you are, you would know this...

My friends of PMDG.You are the best of your kind...but i think you are anot very well managers.I say that because :1.747 was outstanding2.MD-11 outsatnding..but consider this .With MD-11 you can do probably the same flights as 747 .LONG DISTANCE FLIGHTS.3.More time to make 747-8...just an external add on...WHY?!? what have to offer4.J-41 The best of all three i believe ( Make a poll to see)5.You want to make 777....another big boeing aircraft why!!!! MAKE BETTER WITH ADD_ONS AND UPDATES THE OTHER ONE (747,MD11,J41)..6.737....i am and i think a lot more waiting for YEARS! I believe will be your best aircraft.Because this plane can fly anywhere you want in a country , but planes big as 747 or MD-11 cant.7.There is no good Airbus in the market...THINK THE PROFIT! Consider a country as an example Greece .Can yoy fly from LGAV to LGMK or anywhere else with 747 or MD-11.Most flights in Europe are with 737 ,A320 , and props.Only very long distance done with big .You have an excellant 747 , MD-11 Big onesYou have an excellant J-41 and maybe DASH-8Built an excellant 737 nad A320Dont spent time with big ones .....you have already!!That is my personal opinion..but why you dont make a poll with 2 division Customers of your company and non customers just to see with a diffrent eye. I was a manager, and some times the needs of my customers was diffrent than i thought! Some of us we are getting old.We all love this game! And for the end FSX is getting old consider building a new one with other partner companys...that will be a dream! Thanks(sorry fo my english)
Finally, some words of wisdom.

My friends why you are so aggressive. It is my personal opinion and i respect yours. Some of you agree and some others dont. I have done many flights with MD-11 and 747.Also i have done crazy things with the sim. Maybe i am wrong maybe not.PMDG will decide! The problem is the time.PMDG needs a lot of time to build an aircraft,so the pririority is the point . What you prefer , a third big or a second lighter? Thanks

For the record many of us on the actual PMDG team do short flights in the MD-11 and 747 - I do not have time to sit here simulating the fun of 12 hours over the Pacific straight and level. 99% of what I do in FS is 1-3 hour flights. The aircraft are certainly capable of short flights in the real world, it's not "arcade" to do that. I've been on real 747s and 777s many times on short US domestic routes like SFO-DEN, ORD-DEN etc.

Kostantinos1. , 2. 5 & 6: I'm very happy I have (or will have) PMDG quality Boeings3. & 7.: PMDG knows better its market that any one of us4. I don't have it - I'm sure it is greatAlso I have been beta tester for 737 and 747 PAX, Cargo & X.And what about a 747/777/MD11 short hops --- I like them a lot!! LGAV - LGTS - LGSA - LGKR - LGRP - LGIR - LGAV round trip ??? Not to mention hand flying departures and approaches....LGKR (Corfu) is OK as long you land RWY35 and t/o RWY17 (wx permitting) and take care when taxiing. see also: http://www.vataware.com/flight.cfm?id=3169409http://www.vataware.com/flight.cfm?id=3020337http://www.vataware.com/flight.cfm?id=4057137Sam

Waiting for the 64-bit PSION Flightsim for ZX-Spectrum ////

Come on guys can you give PMDG some time off...I was so happy how so much people were happy about the triple seven...and now people are pushing them against the wall to make a Airbus, it is not their fault that Airsimmer failed to complete their task in bringing the software the way it was meant to be besides, the advanced version is not really yet so take your time and relax. I remember one day I posted something about the heavies in here and I gave my opinion against the production of the airbus family and that they should make the 747-8i, 787 and 777 guess what I win( in a way) :( ! and I congratulate PMDG for choosing the dash 8 and the T7 as their upcoming releases. What a mate posted on the beginning of this topic makes a lot of sense, PMDG is really close to boeing which makes it easy to get the information they need. And if we think about it this relationship will go further why not a 787 on mid 2011/2012 :( . Oh yeah I almost forgot! Here in Canada we have hops with triple 7s done by AirCanada CYYZ(Toronto)-CYUL(Motreal) and flying small hops with big aircraft is not an arcade it is also part of simulation, I started doing hops this month south of Brazil and I am already in France just because of small hops with the Queen Of the Skies( I totally love this aircraft), whenever I use the 747 I follow the procedures as much as I can like in any long haul I've done. Also, small hubs with these aircraft helps me to understand the plane even more since you get to practice the procedures more often.PMDG proud costumer :( Boeing All the Way! B)

Gents-Polite reminder: SIGN YOUR POSTS. (Those of you who got deleted: sorry... the rules are the rules...)I've mentioned before that we PMDG is benefiting from the development of a very valuable relationship with Boeing. This is going to make the NGX a product unlike anything we've ever released. The 777 is a natural follow-on to the NGX, and the engineering support that Boeing is providing on this airplane is... stunning...I only wish we could kick them out more quickly- but with the input we are getting from our friends up in Seattle, we want to make sure that they live up to Boeing's expectations also. Now, as for where you fly and what equipment you fly: Let your desires be your guide. That is the beauty of the simulator.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM

I can't remember ever taking a simulator flight that lasted longer than ten minutes. Repeating such tiny hops as frequently as time permits, I get WAY more practice on FMS inputs, takeoffs, flap schedules, final approaches and landings than would be possible any other way. If such flight regimes are sniffed at and considered "arcade games" by 12-hour long-haul purists, then I would gladly accept the title Arcade Meister. My favourites : Hong Kong Chep Lak VHHH Runway 7R to Hong Kong Kai Tak VHHX IGS Runway 13 London Gatwick EGKK to London Heathrow EGLL , Gatwick to Stanstead , Heathrow to London City EGLC Long Beach KLGB to Los Angeles KLAX Tony Selario

Best regards from Tony, at the helm of the flying desk.

I'd be happy to see them all and in a recent post I begged/implored PMDG to rapidly expand their development house. I agree with the basic premise put forth by the OP: there are no others in PMDG's league who are actively producing... none. I say this as a man who has paid good money to try just about all the others. Time and time again, I come away SORELY disappointed with the competition. PMDG has it right and we need as much as they'll give us:- NGX - Abso-freaking-lutely. This is a "signature" series for them and my gut tellsme they're going to win big with this one.- 777 - YES! It is not only underrepresented, but it is an important part of the Boeing stable- AIRBUS - YES! do the whole familyI could go on and on, but PMDG is the last word and I see no other contenders who are able to deliver SIMULATION-quality addons.

Well, I disagree with your item 4.From a quality point of view, I found the JS41 to be superb, just as the other PMDG products I currently own. However, given the sore lack of PMDG quality mainstream regional aircraft like the Dash 8 Q-400 or the CRJs, I would have liked to see the effort go into making one of those aircraft first. These types are actually being used in vast amounts by many of today's airlines all over the world, while the JS41 is some exotic animal which is flown by BA and a handful of minor, mostly African carriers only.As for the 737NGX, I'm desperately waiting for that one too.As for the A319/A320 series, yes, we badly need those as well. Since Airsimmer apparently has some problems and their products are FS9 based anyway, I doubt that they will ever come out with an advanced version of their Airbus for FSX while I'm alive, so I'd definitely appreciate if PMDG would consider to take on the A319/320 as well (and please, please do *not* consider the long-haul A330/340 or even the A380!!!)

I think the reason you have got aggressive responses is that your original post was dis-respectful to people we respect (the people at PMDG) and your third post was disrespectful to every body that doesn't fly the way you prefer to fly (arcade gamers). While you are entitled to your opinions, you should have been able to predict the responses you got. As they say, anyone can pull a tigers tail...

Those all look like fun little hops. Throw in some bad visibility and some gnarly wind - makes for great QUICK flights. Cheers!
