Does the paint kit in the downloads section at eaglesoft work for the FSX version? I plan on doing a paint or two... however I won't do anything photoreal. I don't believe in or like photoreal stuff. Just a personal choice. Here's a set of screenshots from yesterday:http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd141/w...7-30-48-997.jpghttp://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd141/w...7-32-57-877.jpghttp://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd141/w...7-33-56-168.jpghttp://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd141/w...7-34-21-612.jpghttp://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd141/w...7-34-39-762.jpghttp://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd141/w...7-34-55-983.jpghttp://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd141/w...8-57-47-870.jpgThe only edit was a slight downsize so they would fit on photobucket. They were originally 1680 x 1050 and are now 1440 x 900.
Wow, nice set of shots. :(

Well gentlemen I think you have outdone yourselves with this fine bird. This definitely puts another bar on my quality notch for Corporate aviation planes. Haven't had any none pilot issues yet and very easy on the frame rates. Performance is top notch, systems are top notch, flying dynamics are top notch, EVERYTHING! Had some good flights with this one, this has now took over my time in FSX when I'm wanting a longer flight for sure.

a repaint of one of the netjets would be nice, N996QS for example.N104CT is a really cool schemeOE-HJAHB-JEZ

Here's another non-biased observation, since I'm comparing the fs9 and fsx versions of the same plane, that I own, by the same developer: I tried different combinations of settings, adjustments and situations (even those not only across CXv2's fs9/fsx counterpars but other planes too) because I felt, that FSX version of CX2 was quite more sensitive to the the steering on the ground. Actually in the take off run it feels a little too unsteady compared to the fs9 version of ESCXv2 or to what you'd expect of the plane of this weight and base (believe me, I know how to adjust and even dumb down the authority of the rudder both via fs or fsuipc, but it will have an adverse affect on the overall performance of the rudder). I feel that in fs9 version it feels perfectly steady in the the takeoff run for a plane of this weight and undercarriage width (and I know what it feels like to hold a plane in the take off, though not as heavy as CX, but heavier than most of the propeller cessnas). Apparently there's something different in FSX itself (moot point though since you can always compare other fs9/fsx pairs) or in FSX version of CXv2 beyond just my fine tuned joystick/rudder settings and other fine adjustments (like wx, wind etc). It still feels much better in the run to the rudder corrections in the fs9 version than in fsx. Any comments?Much thanks,Dirk.

Well I did another short flight in her tonight. EGLL to EDDF. Went without any problems. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite FS addons of all time. I really REALLY needed a nice business jet. I can't wait to see what its like once the VC update is finished. Thanks again Eaglesoft team! :(One of these days I'm going to break out the paint kit. Probably on Wednesday.

Sorry, guys, I failed to make myself clear above earlier today. All I was trying to say was that the rudder authority of CX on the ground in FSX feels oversensitive to the inputs, even compared to the same CXv2 in fs9.Thanks,Dirk.

Sorry Dirk but I don't use FS9 anymore :( and don't have the above mentioned issue. Cheers,

Apparently you missed the point, AWF, otherwised why would you need to use fs9? I gave it only as my own personal example of the comparison basis (and there are other in fsx alone). I have the same oversensitive reaction to the rudder inputs on the ground (and on the ground only) of CXv2 in FSX no matter if fs9 installed or not installed. I guess there is a problem with comprehensi... errr with my articulation. :( Cheers,Dirk.

must be something with the way the weather interacts with you. I have found the PMDG 747 to feel much better on the ground, and easier to move, than its FS9 counterpart. Try turning all weather off and a summer day and see how it reacts

Thanks Kiwi. By all means break out the kit and try your hand. The Enhanced 3D VC shots are still there on our forum. They should hold you over until we complete it. :(

Correct, FSX friction values differ from FS9. I'm sure you know that controller calibrations do effect your results but think of this as a band which has been made to accomodate in air authority in FSX.

Our thanks BeNT. We worked very hard on this project and are not quite finished even yet.We consider the upcoming Enhanced 3DVC and Reflective Glass along with final Hotfix 1.84 Avionics Update the "Cherry on Top" of what, for us, has been a labor of love. :(

No problem. I've seen the discussion about the 3D vc, which is kind of a nice touch on what you have done, and I do prefer 3d switches since they add a bit more realism. But what exactly is the avionics update going to cover? And you may have already answered this, but will the reflective glass be optional?

Reflective glass is in and controlled via Preflight Utility Toggle. Avionics update does not add new features but corrects a few small issues that the public is aware of and a few that we are aware of even though the general public is not.We also expect a slight improvement in smoothness and overall feel. :(

Nice....I've had some issues but I thought it was something I was doing wrong, so I take it this is going to be some work on the FMC. Nice. And more smoothness is always a good thing! Thanks for the heads up/info.
