February 28, 201016 yr Moderator That is very disappointing.Unfortunately, the model compiler for FS9 will turn all those nice little 3d parts into a crumpled mess. It will auto-weld any mesh vertices that're 4mm or less apart. :(And yes, before anyone mentions it, there is a very clumsy workaround which involves manually editing the assembly files, but for a project of this complexity it would be an absolute nightmare. February 28, 201016 yr Btw, guys, what do you think about the new trend in modelling 3D switches whereas you need to hold'n'drag them left/right or up/down, particularly those switches with multiple positions? As opposite to just clicking with the mouse buttons? I find the former horribly inconvenient, 3D or no 3D - anything where you don't need to hold the button and drag your mouse sideways works much better, taking the reality of how we handle objects in 3D on the screen.Thanks,Dirk.PS: for what it matters I find it the most convenient with left/right button clicks only, and middle button/wheel inputs as complementary from the developer. :( :)

Leftclick, Middleclick, Rightclick, and Wheel Up/Down only, thank you! Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

For me, I want a switch to act like a toggle and a rotary knob to act like a rotay knob. :(
February 28, 201016 yr Hello RyanVery Subtle they can add to the experience, badly done I agree they can look unrealisticEaglesoft don't do things badly that is why I know if they added this they would do it well.Hello Ed Sorry if I upset you, did not mean too, but at least you now have some nice windows to look through next time you fly the 767 :(Ed has a very dry humour at times so doubt he was upset. We'll give it a try on the FS9 refelections but if it doesn't suit us it won't make it to the public. :(

February 28, 201016 yr I read a lot of positive comments about the Citation X v2. I have the FS9 version 2 but was desappointed with the gauges smoothness. It is even worse in the VC. Consequently I haven`t considered buying the FSX version. Please don't tell me it depends on my system, I ran LDS 767, PMDG 747 and MD11 and they all had very smooth gauges, even in the VC.For me having smooth instruments is essential for IFR flying, I will sacrifice other things to get a smooth ADI on approach.Dan

VC gauge smoothness is important to me and I couldn't live with the FS9 version. I don't feel that it's an Eaglesoft issue specifically, as I have the same complaint about the FS9 versions of the PC-12, LDS767,PMDG747 and F1 ATR. The only two FS9 planes I can fly from the VC are the Real Air (all) and the PMDG MD11. The good news for me was the ES CitatationX V2 VC gauge refresh rate in FSX is much better. IMO, it's an excellent simulation with FMC fidelity equivlalent to the PMDG Boeings and the LDS767. Bob.. :) Bob Prince
February 28, 201016 yr Author I'm not experiencing any gauge refresh rate problems in the VC in my FSX version. :( Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!

Bob.. :)FS9 is a different animal than FSX and we concur that other vendors products also suffer in FS9 more so than FSX.Havent said much but the upcoming Hotfix 1.84 does have a few improvements which should help the FS9 crowd a bit. :(Indeed the 767 has reflections :-)Actually easy to do and give the user the option to use it or not (I'm a fan of choices lol)Hence it could be done with a mouse click on\offPs. in real life there are reflections despite they want to have as less as possible it also depends on the lightning conditions lolCorrect Andre. February 28, 201016 yr Quick question.I quite fancy a citation, I believe there is the wilco, eaglesoft and flight 1 versions.Which one is regarded as the best in terms of accuracy, systems and graphics. This may have been asked but I am low on battery so can't afford to look. Thanks Tom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722

F1 has a Mustang but no CX 750.Eaglesoft Development Group then built Citation X V1.0 for FS2002/FS2004 which was a new standard at that time. The Wilco/FT CX was released a few years back while Eaglesoft was in the back hanger working on what is now Citation X Extreme V2.0.The Avsim Gold Star Review settles the matter for us so suggest a read of the Avsim Review of Eaglesoft Citation X Extreme 2.0. :(
