Quick question, I'm interested in purchasing this airport but have yet to purchase you Pacific Northwest. Assume I want to use this scenery with my MegasceneryEarth OR what will I be missing? Will it even work? Not saying I don't plan on purchasing PNW but it'd be nice to still have the option to use it with other scenery for the area. Thanks for any input!Ty89m

You could have simply read this at that link:

This is an Orbx FTX airport, and as such a copy of Orbx FTX NA BLUE Pacific Northwest must be installed prior to use.
I'd think that means no, it won't work without PNW... :(

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

I actually did read the link provided and noticed it requires PNW scenery to be installed. I also read a review in the Pilot shop that someone has it working without having PNW installed. His only remark is a slight elevation problem at the end of the runway. So I'd really just like to know how much I'd be missing out on if I don't have PNW installed. Like I said I've always loved Bills work and it would be a shame to miss out on the scenery just because you don't have PNW. Thanks for the input. Ty89m

Hi,As good as Bill's work is, and he is famous for it, get the ORBX PNW first and foremost, hands down, a hundred to one, if you can't have both. He would agree with that I bet. You will only appreciate how great his work really is when it is set in the fantastic world it was created for.

Got my copy. Can't wait to fly.

I intend to purchase PNW but I also use photo scenery for the sate of WA and OR and would still like to use bills scenery with my photo scenery as well. My plan is (once I grab my copy of PNW of course) is to switch between the two depending on what I'd like to use, be it my photo scenery or PNW's fantastic textures. But It'd be nice to use Darrington and Starks with both depending on my choice. I'm shooting for the best of both worlds ya know?

Agree. The only thing I'd love to see in ORBX sceneries is the "Richard Goldstein Georender style" with some folks playing guitar, another one opening a gate, the laughter of people drinking beer at the bar, the sounds of this guy working in the hangar, all this kind of stuff that was rising the level of realism and was giving this special touch...

Do these airports and addons use that new technology thing you were talking about a few months ago which speed performance by 30% or whatever it was?

I agree, people, especially animated ones are sorely needed in sceneries.

I believe they are implementing that first in the Australia series.
