If anyone is interested I just purchased and installed last night. I have taken it out for a spin with no issues and generally decent performance. My machine specs are: C2D 6850@ 3.0, 4Gig ram, WinXP-SP3 with 3GB switch, 8800GT card with 512mb.Mark.
Mark,I have almost the same exact system as you. Could u please give me some FPS numbers compared to PMDG 747/748 or CS 757? I am still trying to decide whether or not to buy this one. Thanks in advance.Alex C

...even had 50 FPS once so my system dose not have the problem that fslabs keep saying... But it will drop down to 9-5 FPS as soon as you get in the Air... and this is all defult settings on a High end PC... ...
Your pc is low end. Sub minimum requirements for the Concorde according to this post: http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?...ments-pc-specs/
...It's a buggy Aircraft But for that Price i would expect a more polite Customer services From the boss given hes Past history...
A SP1 is in the pipe. Give it a rest for a month or two and then come back and give it another shot.
how can FSlabs see all this and say its Ready for release?????
Well, clearly not everyone is having these problems.I can see you are disappointed, to the extent that you have created an AVSIM account simply to rant about it. The best way of dealing with your problems would be through FSLabs support, but you appear not to have the patience for that (at least one of your problems, the INS installation issue, could have been avoided if you had simply bothered to read through the first few pages of the manual before installing and loading the product).I've visited the FSLabs support forums a few times, and posted once on a small transponder issue. It is my impression that response is very quick, polite and professional, but I can also see that certain posters have problems maintaining a civil tone. You are obviously posting here with the explicit purpose of doing as much damage to FSLabs as you can. I have no particular interest in FSLabs sales, one way or the other, but I do hope that others reading this thread recognize you as the troll you clearly are.

very well said, Tom!

It works well on my system, and the support forums have been great. I've seen some issues when alt-tabbing and losing textures...but this happens on all of my PMDG birds as well. It seems the community is recognizing theses issues (other developers as well), and are working to rectify them.If you're on the fence, then wait for SP1 to come out and reevaluate.

I bought this ConcordeX a few days ago. I feel like I wasted my $70. The problems I was having were:During one flight, aircraft did not show up in spot view.Sometimes the gauges stopped responding and I had to cycle views in the VC by pressing A to get the gauges to respond again. Also one time, the needles from the gauges disappeared and the gauges stopped responding after around 40 minutes into a flight. Also I have to keep my approach speed at around 280-300 kts all the way to touchdown and I have to lift up the nose at too much of an angle that I can't see the runway ahead of me during the approach or else I sink to the ground too fast, and this makes landing very hard for me. My visor is all the way down during the approach and I use the virtual cockpit. Is this how fast the real concorde goes during the approach and should I be lifting up the nose so high that I can't see the runway ahead of me?

Why not scan posts at the support forum over here http://forums.flightsimlabs.com ?

(Game) you cannot say that on here as we are Bashing!! LMAO!!!and trisager iv just had a email from another member saying that you might be part of the team????... freedome of Speech / Personal Opinion dont matter anymore i guess????....LMAO! SO what you are saying Trisager is that im not allowd to have one?? well Tuff!. dont read it then!! go away... thats easy. and im not alone on this subject and problems. i would like to goto FSlab fourms But i carnt so im here instead to find out what other problems i might get with this thing....I opend this account to Talk about this concorde is that ok with you Trisager? maybe u should ask your buddies why i am here n not on the fslab fourms ;-)i may come across abit hard n my words sometimes, thats how i speak. i dont talk verry good english so dont take evrey work i say to heart... im just a verry Verry Unhappy person and FSlabs are the Reason for that... Oh and FSLabs are now refusing Support to paying people if you say anything bad about them... thats ermmmm not how a pro bissness acts. i pay them.. not the other way around sunshine

I think the thing what people seem to be missing here is the fact that this is a groundbreaking addon. The complexity of this software has never been covered before so surely it's obvious that it's not going to be perfect first time. A little bit of research before purchase would help to avoid many problems, or even sway someone to give it a miss for a while until updates are released if they are concerned.@ speedbird you might not be able to get to flight sim labs forum but you will certainly get better solutions to your issues if you can - many of the issues experienced by users of the addon are documented over there with solutions - that way you will be a happy customer as you may well be able to use your purchase.Have you set fsx up to nickn's guide, also your gfx card is very good but fsx responds better to CPU performance I only have a 9800gtx+ 512mb and get a smooth 25-30fps. Having 70 odd fps is of no benefit, having consistent fps of around 30 seems to do the trick for many on this forum, but at the end of the day it is down to the requirements of the user, fps and pc performance are well documented in the avsim forum. Surely it makes sense to go straight to the manufacturer in the first instance rather than third party resources. And as for fslabs not giving support to abusive customers - can't say I blame them why should they take abuse when trying to help even if those in need have paid for something they can't use, surely we are all civilised human beings.I think you will find that many pro businesses will revoke any help when being presented with abuse.......Personally I think that trisager has hit the nail on the head exactlyTom

Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722

I don't have this but I can only imagine the complexity. Reminds me of when PMDG first came out. Always little issues that eventually get fixed by a quality software team. Just have patience and look through the various performance topics on this forum if you have crashes

hey,the reason i cannot get on the fourms is cuz of a miss understanding, i was talking on there fourms when a member posted about refunds, i commented on how the customer and Company need to protect them selfvs n i explaned how i managed to get a refund that 1 time i was Ripped off, by the Famous World Air Simulation / Peta Tishma.. i think how i said i got it back is what Botherd them ... so i was bannd for it... after that i was Flammed Real bad on there Fourms... So for that im verry Upset, i am not into thies fourms alot as u can tell.. mainly cuz im crap with spelling n my grammer sucks &@($* so i keep off them its that simple, + im not a nice guy :( lol...i expect them to act like any other Bissness.. lets take ASDA.. (shopping chain in the UK). if i went in n said " i dont like thies apples thay taste like Crap" thay wouldnt then shout out on the loud speaker " this guy is a **" and kick him out of the shop would thay?... ok Sure i had a moan about the FPS but rly have a look for yourself and find a post where i attacked any1!.. infact all of my posts say how good this bird is and how bad i wanna get it in the air... i Emaild the Boss last night and nothing so he prob dnt care, if thats the case i now have this pack with no support n prob no chance of update.. what choice am i left with??Sorry again for Spelling, heny why i keep off thies kinda fourms.. :(

Sorry but I don't have those aircraft installed on my FSX computer. I do have the LDS767 and the PMDG J-41. I would say the ConcordeX runs slower than LDS767 and about the same as the J-41. I am getting 15-18FPS on the ground in EGLL or KJFK. Once airborne framerates are over 25. I have REX installed.Mark.

That speed (280-300 knots) is way WAY too fast for approach. At typical weights, approach speed would be right around 190 knots at localizer intercept. You should be able to maintain level flight at 190 knots easily by using the autopilot in ALT HOLD mode, and the autothrottle in IAS ACQ with 190 set.Speed at touch down will typically be 160 knotsThis depends very much on being at the proper weight. The Concorde should be loaded so that you will have between 10,000 to 14,000 KG fuel left as you begin your approach. (Which is to say that all your fuel will be in the collector tanks 1-4, with perhaps a bit left in tank 9).On a "typical" Heathrow to JFK flight with "typical" weather conditions, arriving with that amount of fuel left would mean departing from LHR with around 88,000 to 90,000 KG to start. If you try to land at 280 knots+ you would have to pull your nose up much too high at touchdown to bleed off all the excess airspeed, which would explain why you lose sight of the runway. You're not even supposed to lower the visor at speeds any higher than 270 knots, much less lower the nose all the way down that fast.If you can't maintain a stabilized approach without excessive sink without flying close to 300 knots, then I have to assume that you are either much too heavy, (due to having too much fuel), or your CG is way off. Weight is critical. Remember, the Concorde has no flaps and no spoilers - speed is controlled solely by pitch and power.I'm pretty familiar with how to fly the Concorde because I had the SSTSIM version for FS9 - If you're new to the aircraft, you might need to wait for the tutorial, because the manual that comes with the Concorde X, while very complete, doesn't really go into much detail on how to actually fly the aircraft properly.Jim Barrett

With *******' texture fix (can be found in PMDG subforum) for FSX, I am happy to report this aircraft is working great for me in FSX, and will only get better with service pack updates. If you want to fly the Concorde (and one of the most incredible simulations) in FSX, buy it.
