I've just watched the video on their website and the aircraft sound sounds like the FSX default Beechcraft 350 sound? Hope i'm wrong.Lmaire

Sounds like it, but then again they both use the Pratt + Whitney PT6 engines... so that's probably why.

They may use a similar engine but they don't sound anywhere close to similar. The Piaggio has a very distinct sound. So did the Starship (another twin turbine pusher but again another distinct sound) but once you've heard one only once you would always be able to tell that sound without even seeing it.

Interesting, I've only seen a P180 depart twice, and only once I was very close to it. I have listened to numerous king airs though...

I'm sure other sounds are available from elsewhere if the current ones are not to someone's liking. I hope the Avanti II comes out soon. I have eagerly awaiting its release!

It is out now, for FSX.I bought it, expecting a simple AC for the price, and that is what it is.Do not buy it yet, so far some bugs for me. Cannot enter present position in POS INT, constant ENTRY ERROR Message. Sounds too loud, not balanced (engine sound from left engine only). No audio panel for Comm2/ Marker, etc. "COMS / NAV" station in VC does not allow selection and changing of NAV freq, ADF freq, or COM2/NAV2 screen (does work in 2D). No reference speeds, seems like INIT REF section not enabled.VC looks pretty good, 2D pretty rough. Frames for me are great. Does appear as if FMS will allow SIDS / STARS, apears to use same feelthere data base in a new directory. Most other items are on the basic side. Landing lights yes, taxi No (three way visual toggle but only on or off). Several other sections just like that. For the price ($28) once the bugs are fixed it will be a basic "fun" AC, not a study sim at all.Joe

I'd say the visual model is very good. I am not a "purist" in that respect, but, I have no complaints on the external side . . .Joe

Still sounds better than the Abacus model. Now there is a hunk of junk. Wouldn't have flown even if it was freeware.

I will add that a lot of the avionics are seriously buggy. I couldn't change the 2nd digit on the transponder at all with the mouse, had to use the shortcut keys. The altitude setting does not show up on the PFD like it is supposed to (and there is no other place it shows up), it remains showing zero even as the bug climbs up past the tape. Same with the V/S setting. The altimeter setting knob only works to set standard pressure. I could not display the engine instruments on the MFD in the VC, though I didn't think to try the 2d Panel. No information beyond the most basic on speeds, nothing about torque, n1 or prop rpm settings for various modes of flight.....I just barely got past taking off from the ground before giving up in frustration. The Abacus is pretty damn cheesy, but is actually slightly more flyable If only because all it's basic gauges actually work.

That's strange. This is the first time I've read about this. It does not seem to be affecting some the other users of the Avantii, unless nobody has noticed yet (which would be wierd considering the issues you posted about).I would imagine issues like this, if prevelant among quite a few users, will no doubt be looked into by the devs.

I don't recall Wilco ever making a product worth buying, and it looks like that trend is continuing.

I'm still working with it; no button click sounds and still trying to get some GPWS sounds. Curtis

cmon now the e-jets look nice, same with the erjv2 except for the lack of vc night lighting... I enjoy the 737 classic series. Aren't you being a little hard on them?

All three you mention are made by Feelthere, not wilco.
