My all time favourite is probably the Real Air SF260. Their Spit is great, too.If money is an object, the new Carenado 185F Bush is great value at about $18, with tundra & float versions so bush flying is your oyster. The Kodiak is another nice (and v. reasonably priced) bird. Those are the ones from my hangar that leap to mind.

I can thoroughly recommend Sibwing's BirdDog; but wait until the update arrives. (within the next few days I understand) It has a few issues which they are aware of and, as an insider has told me, they have them well sorted. :( Oh but wait! That'll be propping up the Russki economy. :(

Yeah I got Realar's birds... except the Spit...I've thought about getting the C185 bush pack - not sure if I would fly them all!The birddog does sound tempting!

Lionheart Bellanca Super Viking? Fab aeroplane, good in FSX too, and pretty inexpensive as well. 200 mph cruise speed doesn't hurt either :-)Al

Real Air SF260 SingleReal Air Duke TwinYou don't here to much about Aerosoft's Do27x anymore but it's worthy of consideration too especially if you want a slower single with STOL or bush capability.I stay away from turboprops mostly because of the way they are modeled in FSX but Aerosoft's Piper Cheyenne is a good choice for a complex turbo prop. While Carenado makes some of the prettiest visual models I don't buy their products anymore because to me their flight models really started to feel the same. It's hard to put a finger on it but between that their VC textures I felt like I was buying re-hashed/re-packaged product in just a new shell. Many will disagree but that's my .02

I already have RA's stuff. I heard the Do27 was hard on fps right? I was under the impression it was a port... with my aging system there are no ports allowed hehe.

Yep Ryan, it's a port-over. Don't go near it. It brings my lower end system to its knees.Too bad, I loved flying it in FS9.I haven't read all these posts in great detail, but A2A makes some awful nice aircraft with similar realism utilizing Accu-sim. The Cub is really incredible as example, as is the B377, among others. Just don't get the idea of stuffing any RXP stuff in these :(

That's fair, and in past releases I'd have agreed with you. Something has changed recently at Carenado, though. For one thing, now that they've got their own forum, they're much more communicative with users. And maybe because of this new involvement, there have been a lot more mods to the stock Carenado flight dynamics. Two of their most recent planes, the 185 Skywagon and the Beech Bonanza, have gone through multiple rounds of improvement to their FDEs. The result is that they're not only both a delight to fly now, but display distinct personality traits that are quite different from one another. I still get the feeling that Carenado is being dragged kicking and screaming into these modifications, but the user community is persistent. The result is that things are definitely improving.

Yeah this is true but only with helpful input from real C185 and Bonanza pilots...That's the annoying part - is that the community has to "help" with the updates.I too love Carenado's VC's and models but they need to either find some real pilots to test or get some 3rd party to make their FDE'sAnd I have the A2A cub as well - really don't fly it often - too slow... Actually if someone wants it they can have it... for real.

I'm patiently waiting for the Carenado C208, and hoping they make a Super Cargomaster variant
