Eaglesoft Citation X

Featured Replies

Guys,I don't currently own any Eaglesoft products and I was thinking about buying the citationX today. http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/CitationX_20.htmHow is the support and response at Eaglesoft? Also, what do you guys think of the CitationX? I currently own PMDG stuff so I am looking for system fidelity, great virtual cockpit and and an autopilot with LNAV and VNAV with full FMC support. How does the CitationX compare in those areas to the PMDG products? Any comments?

Yep it's good!Full FMS/VNAV/LNAV... I've been using it for a while now - great for longer vatsim flights, and fast of course!I feel their support is good too - I've owned their original FS9 models for some time and also their Cirrus for FSX - no complaints!

The Citation X 2.0 is amazing, the FMC works perfect, there is a learning curve of course its not a Boeing style FMC, support is top notch, I ask a question and get an answer, plus they back there product up with a flight1 30 day money back guarantee, you can't lose.Check out my vidhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJmVtLI6FrY

I don't have the X in my fleet yet, but as a very satisfied CJ1 owner, I am ecstatic about the support I have received. Ron went to great lengths to help me get the CJ1 installed, despite the fact that the issue had nothing whatsoever to do with Eaglesoft, or even FSX. Bill was very helpful responding to my request about user modification. And every issue I've had, none of which were the fault of Eaglesoft products, have been addressed in great detail. I can't speak for the X, but the customer support I've received has been top notch.

Last questions guys, how is the VC? Do they incorporate their service packs etc into the latest download for the product?

Hello ScottThe VC in my opinion is very good, this is one of the best aircraft available for FSX.Nice guys too , good support

I think it's a nice VC - they recently updated it with more 3d knobs/components - the icing on the cake imhoI think everything is clickable...

no offense but have you been living under a rock? ha! Eaglesoft is one of the best developers out there, PMDG but for private aircraft. Hope they do something like a Gulfstream next

Fantastic vid Ian!! Very nice smooth approach and landing!

In my opinion it is the highest fidelity FS Corporate Jet; none better. The FMS is superb and the documentation is good. It is predictable and fun to fly. My only gripe is the pop up for the HDG, CRS and ALT bugs. I have Go-Flight and have never been able to get the FSUIPC macros to work smoothly. So, I live with the 'out of place' pop up in the VC. I wish they had 'hooked' the default adjustments for those parameters. Give it try for 30 days. Eaglesoft support has always been responsive and helpful. They take great pride (rightfully so) in their aircraft's and on occasion will defend criticism and dumb comments with 'vigor'. LOL. Bob.. :)

Hello BobIn your C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\ESDG\CitationX\ folder you will find the ESDG_CitationX.iniIn this file you will be able to assign key combinations for the HDG CRS and ALT bugs then just programme them to your goflight modules using FSuipc's button programming facilities.here is a short sample of the [keyboard] section. there is much more assignable in the ini.No need for the macros. The CX v2 is fantastic - well worth getting, especially with the Flight 1 30 day money back guarentee - you just can't go wrong with it.As much as I try other aircraft I always tend to go back to it - hoping that their CJ1+ will be coming out soon .. .. ..G

Is there a visual display of VNAV parameters? Can the pilot see ToC, ToD and a projection of flight level changes?

Best regards from RelaxX

Hi!Thank you for taking the time to post this. I have tried using those settings, however, the controls are not very discrete. Meaning the display lags the RP48 adjustments. I'll try it again and thanks. Bob.. :)
