Embraer Ejets

Hi there to all,Im still quite surprised that there still hasnt anyone who has made the series for FS. Its a great looking aircraft. I know there has been some attempts at it, like the virtualcol, and the wilco, but both of those are payware, and both do have their own unique flaws. So my question is does anyone know if anyone is currently developing the plane for fs?? I know dreamwings has said that they would do it, but that was many years ago, I also know that PAD has done one, but lets face it, they are just as good as abacus with some things.Any info on if its being made would be great! There some of my favirote jets out there. Thanks guys!

Feelthere has an excellent ERJ 135/145. It's payware, but well worth it, plus I haven't found any major flaws. Posky has some freeware Embraer aircraft that are good models, but you may have to search for an acceptable panel.Dale

^^ I think he is talking about just the EMB-170/75/90/95 range. Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think any freeware developers are doing this aircraft atm, but as you probably know Wilco/FT is doing a v2 that will also have the -75/95 models.

Yes, correct, I am talking about the 170-195. And ya wilco is doing the 175 and 95 but its the same model as the 170 and 190 which has many imperfections.

bkircher, I think I remember you were one of the many people like me looking for a good e-jets for a long time. I have the wilco feelthere Embraer E-Jets and Im very happy with it. just trying to understand what many imperfections. are you speaking about? as far as freeware goes I haven't seen anything worthy yet.

For me I am more concerned about the model as opposed to the systems. The most complex that I will get with systems is like as far as Qualitywings has with their 757. And even still I do not use all the systems. The wilco model has many imperfections IMO. Wrong flap canoes, winglets, flaps, slats, and lack of wingflex and a true wingview. Now if there was a way to completely rid the plane of the basically encrypted systems that are in the plane, then I would give it another go, because yes, by far it is the best one avaible to fsers. Still dissappointing none the less that no one has taken up the plane. There very popular and very good looking.

Wow Dale, are you sure? External lights that blink like a disco and flawed cockpit night lighting are pretty major.

Did they stuff up on the e-jets as well ? I thought they got it wrong only with their erjv2 as far as night lighting and external lights are concerned.Eew.

I guess it all depends on the user's preferences...I don't consider those MAJOR flaws but rather minor ones. Sure, I'd rather everthing be perfect, but in this case, the feelthere (NOT Wilco) ERJ v2 is just fine by me...the best available and a lot of fun to fly.

If I have the EJets and like them, is there any reason to get the new ERJs? Are they different enough to warrant having both? Are the ERJs much improved over the Ejets?

The E-Jets simulate the Embraer 170/190 while the ERJv2 simulates the ERJ 135/145 models; they're different aircraft. The ERJv2 is a newer project from feelThere, although many of the systems are similar. I think the ERJv2 aircraft are more polished and slightly more complex and thus interesting to me.Be aware that feelThere is working on an EJets version 2 that simulates the 175/195 aircraft.

Also note that the models for the upcoming 175 and 195 are the same models as the 170 and 190. SO that means the same flaws that are on the current ones will be on the future ones.

as the 175 and 195 are larger than the 170 and 190 this statement is false.as the 175 and 195 take advantage of FSX's 'bump-maps', for example, this statement is false.--

I rarely fly at night, so state of the art gauge lighting is not a major thing to me, others may have a different opinion. The external lights do flash at a higher frequency than other aircraft, but to me, a major flaw would be if the lights didn't work or they were in the wrong position. The main thing to me - does the aircraft fly like it should (within the restraints of FSX)? When I switch the autopilot off and hand fly approaches, it just feels right to me.Dale

I agree on the hand-flying. My major and long-term beef with FT is they'll leave problems like these in the aircraft, patch after patch. It's like an attractive woman that has a mole with a hair growing out of it on her nose - yes, she is beautiful, but that mole-with-hair is distracting. The "little things" like this are so annoying as FT historically refuses to fix them. The E-Jets were also nice, but also had little quirks that persisted.
