August 19, 201015 yr Sounds like the team bailed and setup a new studio (happens a lot in games related development).I'm a big supporter of Alphasim (they offered very unique aircrafts), so best of luck to the new team....and please don't abandon FS9! :)-feng
August 19, 201015 yr The day before they announced this i bought there C17...£36.90, i thought it was cheaper, but when i was converting i did the conversion from USD->GBP instead of NZD->GBPah, either way, i like it, even thought, it is a little overpriced for what you get... i Just hope virtavia release the V1.1 update for it to add the VC for free, or better yet, release it at all and not cancel it :sshame to hear them close the doors, i have quite a few of their aircraft, good luck to virtavia though, they are releasing 3 sepecat jaguar packs starting the end of this month, my wallet is ready.... :DLiam OS: Windows 10 Home Premium 64Bit CPU: Intel i7 4790K Quad @ 4.4GHz MoBo: ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer GPU: nVidea/Gigabyte GTX980 RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair 1600C9 Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz PSU: Seasonic X-650 80+ Gold Monitor: ASUS VG248QE 1920x1080, 144Hz, 1ms
August 19, 201015 yr Always sad to hear of someone closing shop. Us FS9ers need all the legacy developers we can get :(
August 19, 201015 yr Commercial Member But it's going to be the same crew under a different name... Not that sad.
August 19, 201015 yr Yeah but Virtavia is an Australian sister company, you know how the people of New Zealand are with the Aussies ;)Liam OS: Windows 10 Home Premium 64Bit CPU: Intel i7 4790K Quad @ 4.4GHz MoBo: ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer GPU: nVidea/Gigabyte GTX980 RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair 1600C9 Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz PSU: Seasonic X-650 80+ Gold Monitor: ASUS VG248QE 1920x1080, 144Hz, 1ms

August 20, 201015 yr I would have bought the C-17 if it already had a VC.Me too but it seems that now it will probably be a 'promised' situation similar to a certain 'Fokker' aircraft. Dave Taylor

September 13, 201015 yr There's at least a wish for those AS folks from me that never materiallized even days prior to the closure. In my early days of FS, I always wished for a Eurofighter Typhoon for FSX that had everything any Eurofighter fan had every dreamed of.I did appreciate the quality of Iris' freeware model, but the time rolls on and I believe the development of that charming fighter simulation won't continue. Now it's up to the guys at Virtavia to bring us an ultimately superior simulation of the Eurofighter Typhoon! At least they won't be shoehorning an FS9 model, for now that is.Dave.
