Ariane 737-700ER X2.5 Purchase.

Featured Replies

Hello,Second virgin install of FSX and Ariane 737-700ER x2.5 gave G3d.dll error immediately upon exit, and switching between Airane and other default FSX aircrafts , after that, an error came up with FSUI.dll, without any addon being added to FSX, later fsforce addon was added to FSX and now the error includes fsforce has unloaded at FSX exit, of course, when Ariane 737-700ER X2.5 is the selected Airplane.Regardless all these error are comming up with Ariane 737-700er x2.5., if a flight is selected with FSX default aircraft or any other addon aircraft other than Ariane 737-700ER x 2.5, FSX runs Flawless.Thanking You,Best Regards,Aftab.
I would post on the Ariane forums and see if anybody else can reproduce the issue (if there isn't somebody already there who has a thread pertainig to this subject).

You assume that the issues are caused by FSX and not by the operating system, environment, 3rd party drivers (graphics) or .NET framework. etc etc Your view that all defects that manifest themselves with an FSX application crash would have been cured by the continued employment of the Aces team is incorrect.Just wanted to impart some industry experience from someone who's qualified to talk about it.The above said, please don't take it the wrong way, most people would assume that an app crash was the fault of the app, indeed I've had many "discussions" with development about inadequate error handling.:("A senior Software Quality assurance manager working for a corporation" (Not Microsoft)P.S Thanks for thje heads up on Ariane, I think I'll wait for the PMDG NGX

And to add to that.. Please read my experiences with this Ariane 700ER as well in the MyCokpit.org from these last weeks.. http://www.mycockpit...7462#post117462The only thing I can say is: Darn it for not reading these posts first..!I have the same issues as described above and I do have a lot of addon scenery.Haven't been given access to their forums yet?? I bought this 10 days ago..The aircraft itself does have a lot of potential though.. If I compare that to the PDMG 747 I have, it has more functions and everything without the FPS loss.. So I'm just very disappointed in the way Ariane has reacted up till now and I can sort of live with the exit crashes and even with the switching of Airplanes crash.. BUT dont ignore me as a customer..I will be wanting to have a face to face chat with them if they ever come to an FS weekend or something similar..If you pay more than any other aircraft in the FSX world you should expect more than this.. Now I find it unacceptable. Treat your customers better Ariane! This is 2011 for crying out loud..

Hello,Activation issues should also be taken into consideration before making a purchase.Developers who require several steps and methods for activating a product, must not be given repeat business.Thanking you,Best regards,Aftab.

WaltherI've just read your 'story' on MyCockpit and want to say that I really admire your patience. Unfortunately, I fear that the patience is misplaced as I don't believe Ariane have an answer to why their product is crashing FSX. Surely, if they did, they would publicise it, at least on their own website. What's even more worrying is that they're still selling the product knowing that it is seriously 'flawed' - is that concern for their customers (and reputation), or contempt?Regarding a 'face-to-face' with them at a show/FS gathering etc, all I can say is "...don't hold your breath!" It'll never happen! I can't begin to count the number of times they've been politely invited to this (and other) forums to join discussions and 'dispel the myths', but they have always stayed hidden behind (or under) their rock. They are, IMHO, their own worst enemy and 'newbies' should certainly research A LOT to make informed purchase decisions before 'blindly diving in.....'Toni.

The exact thing "newbies" do not do is research. It takes getting burned a few times for this time-consuming tendancy to kick in...There are countless companies out there who owe their very existence to this fact of life. And that is as it should be I guess - how else would we find out how things should not be done and as a result look for something better next time around?

Hello,Any new or old software developer, who price their product in such a way, that the people who have been buying these kind of software, think are over priced, and with restrictions on multiple use and activation, Must not get your repeat business. No matter what kind of development process has gone into producing such quality softwares.Thanking you,Best Regards,Aftab.

SharrowI am a newbie..! And I have spend hours researching Ariane or looking for an alternative for the best 737 in fsx. Although I have been playing the different FS versions over that past 15 years, but never really been visiting forums or so..And mostly what I found when I searched for "Review Ariane 737" were very, very lengthy and detailed reviews explaining the plane and it's possibilities. Also about their time consuming activation process, but mostly how great this plane is....NOTHING about crashes or anything similar.. Obviously when you type "Crash Ariane" as a search than a whole new universe opens up.. Good learning curve for next time. But either those people reviewing the Ariane don't have the crashes, which is odd to say the least, or they aren't that reliable..Anyways I knew about the lengthy activation process and I was fine with it.. It took 4 days, but that was to be expected..I did not expect the Ariane software to crash that much.. Your assumption about newbies is unfounded and almost offensive..! As if senior users of FS would never buy bad software from companies.. Also apparently Boeing likes them? That's what sold me too.. From which wonderfull company are you? As it appears you are a commercial member?I'm getting a bit fed up of these Software/Hardware companies with their bad attitude towards consumers, which to be honest looks like is prone to the Flight Sim community.. I purchase a lot thru the internet and this is the first I have seen it this bad.. I've seen it on the Support forums how customers are being treated by the employees to the condescending attitude of the company..Now for sure it is not all bad..! I definitely have a couple of really good experiences!! And will definitely keep buying from these companies..Anyways back to the problem:It has now been almost 12 days, no reaction, no access to the forum and now my FMC is crashing when doing the Ini. Pos start up..I did change some stuff as I was tuning the .CFG Since I have purchased PDMG 747 and Ariane all my tweaks from the .CFG file have been taken out.. None of them work anymore.. Except the Highmemfix=1 for PDMG ( solves the haul disappearing.. )The only thing I'm adjusting is the Bandxx multiplier.. All others are useless or even causing dramatic crashes in FSX like the Bufferpool when switching to full screen or back..Anyways good luck everybody with the Ariane and let me know if you have a magic solution for the crashes..Cheers,Walther

Most everyone here knows the Ariane issues, do yourself a favor and contact your credit card company and stop payment, delete the plane, and get a good plane from a reputable company.
I agree with that. The only reason why I am not going to stop the payment is because I heard that Ariane will try and take action against you if you do. Should I take the risk and stop payment or should I not?

I've also read they will prevent you from travelling outside your own country etc. Horseapples! They do not have the clout to do anything... let them try, it would cost them a fortune to bring an action against you. Go ahead and start the charge-back proceedings, it takes a while anyway.Oh Mgh my friend, where are you? I am now shining the Mgh beacon into the night sky.

Here in the UK it's called the Trade Descriptions Act and if the product doesn't live up to the expectations as specified or advertised, you're fully entitled to redress. Furthermore, if it's causing your computer to crash, I'd go on to suggest that "...it's not fit for the purpose" which also gives you legal argument.Ariane's pseudo legal mumbo-jumbo to another customer (as reported) threatening all kinds of stuff is pure fantasy on the part of their 'boss' (Tishma, Bob Hale, or whoever he chooses to be today) and has as much foundation based on law as a can of beans. Laughable if not so sad....If you want to get your credit card company to stop payment or get you the refund, go for it! Toni.

OOOO we are riping on Arian!!!! I want in, I want in!!!! I bought the 737-900ER X2 5LL 17-CFM0gdf-1122 a couple years ago and it took me two month in order to install it! Piece of crap that plane is, as is the support.

FSX crashing on exit.PMDG JS41 did it for a lot of customers before SP1 and that fixed the exit problem, but it was not as simple as that. The day after JS41 came out I posted about the exit crash and the guy who made the FMS e-mailed me all day up till 11:50 at night. He got me to try different files to stop it.But after hours of e-mailing we found out it was the way you exit FSX.I exit by clicking the top right X button and then clicking the confirm button pop up window. He exit's FSX by useing short cut keys. When I exit useing his way=No crash, when he tyied exiting FSX my way, he to got the crash, it was fix'ed in the SP1, the BirdDog still can crash FSX on exit, it down to programing PMDG shorted it.I have to say why anyone would buy Ariane after reading these forums is beyond me. Actually, according to your VATSIM signature, I'm in the same city as you. I fly the CYVR to KLAX route.

The guy is Ernie Alston. If you have a problem, he will indeed do everything to try and solve the problem. Highly commendable! Not everybody does that, sadly.
