Has Airsimmer finally thrown in the towel?

The forum is working for me....

Pretty much what the title says...I can't access the forums and the Tablet PC has server errors. Is it finally the end of the most infamous FS company to ever hit the skies (or at least attempt to)?If so, I'm glad they're gone. Nothing but lies they've been, and they've been incredibly stupid. Everything that could go wrong went wrong and they handled the situation extremely unprofessionally. I feel sorry for whoever bought it. At least now that they're down people might spend their money on something better.
I am enjoying their aircraft quite a bit. No need to feel sorry for me! :(

Rob or Ark, Have either of you done any tuning to the aircraft cfg file to keep this thing from turning like an F-16 while on autopilot. Like I said in an earlier post, I really want to like this airplane, but it's got some quirks that can make it difficult to fly.

Hi, I'm in a rush so it has to be a quick reply. post over on the tech forum, I dont think most people want this forum clogged up with Airsimmer problems :) From your screenshot it looks like you are flying the IAE version this is known to have issues that the CFM version does not.

OK, guys, and especially Rob, thanks for all your input.I must admit I dedicded to get F1 refund (the only product return in my long simlife) for AirSimmer since my list of discovered bugs was rather long (I even published it in their licenced forum).I tested it for about a week and decided to return it without any sorrow. My verdict was: buggy, unfinished and missing some basic options.I promised myself not to buy anymore from a company which cheats their customers (taking money for something like this).Anyway, it was before the recently released patch. So I have no idea to what degree they repaired or/and finished this product.Reading some experienced simmers' opinions in this thread it looks like it is much better or even it is now a fine simulation of an airbus. Finally? And yes, the website is working back.

My personal opinion would be to wait for the Advanced version since you have the IFLY 737 and that should take up a fair bit of time due to it's complexity. I decided to check out the A320 since all I have flown for the past few years is the PMDG 747,MD11 and a brief stint in the LDS767.The next major release I'm waiting for is the PMDG777 but I wanted a deep understanding of the A3xx systems logic and FBW laws before I start on the 777 FCOM, and as mentioned in my above posts the Airsimmer A320 has provided a very good platform to base my studying on. The Wilco bus seems to be the favorite still but it does not come anywhere close to simulating a Airbus and I cant bring myself to fly that aircraft, however I do look forward to details about Eric's planned updates. If Airsimmer get there act together and produce the Advanced version with failures,ECAM actions etc they could easily be up there with the top developers.

Yes, that is what I will probably do regardless of the feeling I have it may not see the light at all.

Quite similar to my preferences however I wholeheartedly suggest that you add 3 more outstanding planes to your enjoyment list: Leonardo Maddog, DA Fokker and PT Tu-154M (the last one only if you are a very patient guy)
The next major release I'm waiting for is the PMDG777
That will most probably be another winner. To enjoy it however, I would have to switch to FSX and... you know, Rob...
you have the IFLY 737
An extremely enjoyable addon still being improved and corrected even further. Highly recemmended!

That is what I wish to them and all of us, no matter how sceptic I am now, I really do.Thanks again for your valuable insight, Rob. It's always nice to hear from Those Who Know Things. :(

No doubt about that, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. It does, however, seem to be a monumental 'if'. It seems there's some sort of A320 jinx in Flightsim. Whatever happened to AirlinerXP?

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

It died, for all we know. No updates, nothing. The website is still up, but activity is neglegible.
