I'm starting the think they shelved the Woodpigeon without telling us. An insider told me that PMDG's carpenter left them to join a Victorian kitchen simulator developer so that's probably why we havn't seen it yet.

Gents-Ryan pointed out to me that the original poster in this thread invited me to answer "honestly."Is there some supposition out there that would cause anyone to believe I would have some reason to answer dishonestly? This type of post is something that I've taken to calling a "pay attention to me, I'm self important." Such posts traditionally get ignored because the user is generally pushing some half whit agenda point that really needn't be addressed because the truth is self evident to anyone who has spent more than an hour in this forum. I recognize that there are a few self important or self righteous folks who might be offended by this- but the reality is that we make decisions based on a very clear agenda- and that agenda is part of PMDG's business model- and unless you join the team- you really shouldn't expect to have input. :( I've seen some truly idiotic comments in this forum about how we might be "afraid" or some other general claptrap... There is no airplane, no system and no simulation that this team couldn't accomplish if we decide to... If anyone tells you otherwise- I would suspect their motives.Now- I've been decidedly grumpy answering a few of these "pay attention to me" type posts- so let me end with something a bit more positive:1) Give at least ten seconds of thought to the fact that we have a strategic partner in Boeing... And Robert, you are 110% correct.... The "Pay attention to me" may or may not be subjective in your eyes. However, if (if) it were objective, I don't think anyone asking for an Airbus product is just "asking for attention." I think their trying to tell you something, Robert... "We like your product, and we've been wondering if among the several Boeings, would you also consider an Airbus?" "We (we-- meaning everyone who has money and wants to purchase a quality Airbus product), would be more-than-happy to purchase it, knowing the quality of your job" I can assure you, the thousands of Airbus "lovers" around the world would not hesitate to use their credit cards-- even if it's a prepaid like mine. And, yes those cards will be asking for attention, including mine. I have purchased-- and I fly till I drop (yeah sometimes I ignore my stall warning and I fly till I drop) B) the 747-400 and the MD-11, and in a couple of days... the FSX 747-400. (I hope I qulify to provide input).In-any-case, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it is almost 3:00a.m. I have spent a long day building my "little" FSX computer and I am truly exhausted. After 5 years I decided to move to FSX and I was hoping for a quality Airbus. Well, in the mean-time let's be contented with what we have. And, even though the Airbus question was never answered ( ), I am sure soon someone, some where is developing that Airbus...Who knows, maybe as we read, Robert is placing the final touch to the next project--- A brand new...... This is a comment that most of us are VERY happy with, this partnership is so so valueable. There are plenty of boeings left that havent been properly modeled in FSX.Anyway, another developer who have friends in the team from pmdg members are making an A320, if its anything to go by the concorde, you will love it.

It would be a great shame if PMDG limited their know-how - in-depth simulations - to solely Boeing - or Boeing-owned - designs.There are many, many aircraft out there that could do with the PMDG treatment - not just an Airbus. :)Matt

Absolutely right. I dont know jack squat about the relationship either, but it can just be naturally assumed that it would play some part. We sit in our livingrooms (bathtubs, trailers, whatever) and enjoy flying the planes, but in the backdrop of that there are 2 businesses involved here. PMDG and Boeing, a MAJOR global enterprise that dosent slap "Official Licensed Product" on just anything. Obviously the quality is one issue, and the business end is another. Personally I have no problem with this. Sure, I would love to see a PMDG grade Airbus too, but as someone already said, there are alot of Boeings that havent been "PMDG'd" yet either.

True. Then I hardly doubt that the manufacturers of the J4100 or the Dash 8 have been continually nipping at Boeing's global market share for the past several years either, as Airbus has.
