For those that are sticklers for details there are quite a few of them .. for example when they cross over the threshold the ILS/DME will read close to 2.0 -which may be counterintuitive to some.

I think Airplane 2 is pretty good in its own right. Not as classic as the first one, and its a little more absurd, with it being in space and all, but its got William Shatner, Rip Torn, and some more classic one liners. A picture for the paper? And it has Sonny Bono too! How could I forget him!?!

I came across this on you tube and was just wondering if this is a feature on the NGX or just 777, this is the only video I have seen where it is said, but I think its from the cockpit where it is telling the pilots what runway they are lining up on. So is this a feature the NGX does or will have or neither?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8a6qbF9ECgMike Davey 777

That was a great vid! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to try the HUD in low visibility approaches. This is going to smash the heck out of the "other" offering!

I wonder if that has anything to do with the EFB. I believe it has a "safe taxi" type feature.

Hello, this is my first post, and I was wondering when the next update on the NGX would be announced? From what I know, it will be showing off the exterior, which I'm anxious to see!!! This plane is going to be a revolution, and I'm excited to know more.... Thanks!!!smile.gif---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- airplane-silhouette.gifSam Cordellwww.airplane-times.com

PMDG has, to date, released an update every month. That's not to say they won't break the tide (one way or the other), but if the past can work as hindsight to predict the future, I'd say come back in late Dec for the next update.Which is fine - with the work PMDG appears to have put in, I'm surprised a bird like this could come to our PC's at all, let alone in a few months,

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Angelo,I did not delete your original post, I don't know who did.I did however delete the other two that were complaining about it earlier today because complaining about moderator actions in public is prohibited here (rule #4 in the forum rules).I have no further info about shared cockpit for you right now, sorry.

This is a Piccadilly Line service to Cockfosters. Next station is Leicester Square. Please mind the gap between the train and the platform. :DWhatever this has to do with the NGX?

Cockfosters.
The number of times I've heard people (adults and kids) giggling at that when I've been on the Piccadilly Line...Oh and nice shots by the way!

It's RAAS - runway awareness and advisory system - and I've mentioned it a few threads earlier, wondering if and hoping that the NG would include it. It gives you quite a few more advisories depending on the chosen options, like when you are trying to take-off from a taxiway, or when you get close to the runway end during landing roll, or when you're about to land beyond the TDZ. Oh, and AFAIK it has nothing to do with the EFB at all. Suppose it can be retrofitted to any plane.I don't know for sure but I'd guess it would not be that hard to implement so I am more or less convinced it will be included. Would be a first for FS AFAIK, so fingers crossed. :(sig.gif
