Carenado C340 - anyone with a quick mini review?

Featured Replies

Does the 340 II have wipers? There is a pic on airliners.net and it does not have any wipers present.

The 172 flap noise is a tad off puttingotherwise in the short time its ok.

I'm *very* interested in this one. smile.gifAny comments on the flight dynamics?Does she smoothly take off at the given Vr?Or does the aircraft jump into the air when rotating like some of Microsofts ridiculous defaults? What is the nose attitude when landing (hopefully not down)? Are the climb rates as expected (documented) after takeoff? How are cross wind landings? Can you sideslip properly like the Duke or are you floating all over the place?Alex

Was the Cessna windscreen de-ice sparyed on alcohol aeroshell 07,if i remember correctly no wipers on this one unless a modded one could be wrong though

There are what look to be wipers on this model.

Are your 90 other posts in 4 years this insightful?
I think it really depends if you have any insight at all to answer that question, so I rather leave that up to you to make up your own mind.I have all carenado products. Carenado is the above average producer for the money they ask for their planes but they are no realair/pmdg etc.. They trying to get there and make huge strides but is imho still far off that standard. So if the question is is it value for money, IMHO the answer is definitate yes. if the aquestion is it up to standard of duke, IMHO it is definate NO.The number of patches released by Carenado for last couple of planes speak for themselves.I hope that give you a bit if "insight" to my opinion regarding the latest release.

No problem outside of a post with no value. When people post negative comments, it'd be nice to have the reasoning behind said comments. Not a requirement, just a nice to have. Seems like common sense to me.

I don't know.. Why do negative posts have to be any more 'insightful' or give fuller reasoning than positive ones? I don't see anyone coming down on those who offer the many 'Yeah it's awesome just buy it!!' or 'Never had any problems its working fine on my rig' type posts.. :wink:The poster gave an opinion. Who's to say that in itself has no 'value'?Ian

"it's just awesome, buy it!", is just as useless.I don't care if a comment is positive or nagative if it at least give some idea of why. My original post was directed at one post, not all of he above. However, that doesn't mean my comment doesn't apply to other posts as well.I hope this provides some clarity to my position.

I just read through both pages of this thread, and 90% of it was useless bickering. I would really like to know what people think about the C340. Does anybody out there have any mature feedback to add?
