Thanks Steve for the quick reply.I tried your suggestions but unfortunately I have the same problem, I would rather not have to temporarily disable MY TRAFFIC 2010 in order to use IF10 but will do so if it is the only possiblesolution. Please keep me informed for any possible fixes or workarounds. Thanks again Steve for all your help. Terry
I've no luck getting MT2010 going yet. In the meantime:Did FSX crash when you run FSX by opening a .FLT file?regards; Steve

Hey Steve,I can't explain it but it's working perfectly now!!!!! The only thing i can think of is that recently I had disabled the IF10 weather engine.I was giving the program another go and I noticed this so i re-enabled the weather engine, loaded another flight plan and it worked! I tried 6 more flight plans and they all loaded perfectly. I'm sure there must be a more logical answer and I'll let you know if i can think of anything else. Anyway thank you Steve for being so helpful and informative. P.S. I hope you get MY TRAFFIC 2010 to run properly!! Let me know if I can be of any service to you to get the program up and running. Any way to generate the full briefing in larger font? I always have to mouse scroll zoom my browser to be able to read anything.
I hope you are enjoying the new larger font Vincent! Thanks for pointing it out, this little modification improved things nicely. All the best; Steve

Just coincidence I think. IF can’t do anything. Certainly, running the weather engine or not won’t cause anything any trouble, it’s just metar strings sent via a simconnect client. Anyway Ideal Flight is different technology to other add-ons and it is very hard to interact with or be the cause of trouble by design. Still; anything’s possible.Best regards; Steve.

Steve,First off, let me say this is a great product and I hope you will continue to add features and the great support you have shown, kudos to you. While Air Hauler is a great product, I have gotten bored of it and this has renewed my flying for VFR and IFR. Great companion for taking breaks from VAs and flying your smaller a/c.I would like to ask for a feature addition. There are many of us who have military add-ons and would like to fly them from base to base etc. Would it be possible to add a Flight Type with Military designation where only military installations (Air Bases etc) in the destination would be possible (filtered). This would be a great way for those military drivers to fly from base to base and also could auto-generate a flight plan to a military base depending on your a/c and flight preferences. Thanks and keep up the good work! Thanks,LW

Hey Steve,I figured out the problem. It definitely was not my Traffic 2010 causing the issues. I'll explain: Today I started a new flight and wouldn't you know it FSX would not fully load again like before... so I went back to the IF10 main menu and checked the briefing parameters of my flight. I had set up a one-hour flight using the Beechcraft King Air 350, then clicked on the new destination arrow and when it gave me the briefing and the new destination, I saw that it had picked an airport only 44 nm away and that it would take 32 minutes to get there!! Then I clicked on the new destination arrow again and this time it showed me an airport that would take one hour to get there, clicked the "fly" icon and the FSX loaded up perfectly! I set up a new flight with a different plane but still a one-hour flight, clicked the new destination arrow and saw that it gave me a flight that was only a few miles away and only a few minutes to get there, clicked the "fly" icon, and FSX crashed again! I went back into IF10 again, just clicked on the new destination arrow and in the briefing, I saw that it gave me a one-hour flight, clicked the "fly" icon, and FSX loaded up perfectly again. Steve, please try these scenarios and let me know if the same thing happens to you, just please check to see that the parameters you set and the new destination briefing do not match, causing FSX not to load fully.Thank you very much, Steve for looking into this, and thanks again for all your help.Terry

What is the different plane?

Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

Steve, it doesn't matter what aircraft you choose( I tried several different ones.)the crash happens when the flight parameters you choose and the destination briefing do not align themselves correctly. Thanks Steve. Terry

Well I cannot make FSX crash with your example. With IF you start to cover areas you never did before, normally this is a scenery issue. Where are you located? default scenery? There is a possibility of a "bad" waypoint in the plan that crashes FSX, but it will be a waypoint read from the scenery. There are one or two in the default FSX scenery. Please send me the .pln and .flt from the docs \ideal flight\flight\new folder for a flight that crashes FSX.Steve

What I meant in my previous post was, if you open up IF10, then select a flight plan i.e. select a plane, select the weather type, select a departure airport, select flight time, then click on the select destination icon (it will then show you a briefing of your flight) if the time of your flight in your briefing and the flight time you selected earlier do not match closely, it causes FSX to crash.Hope this helps Steve. Thank you again for all your time and patience.Terry
