Another thing about the "GUI"; looks the same whatever screen mode FSX changes your windows to. There's a bunch of technical reasons for it.Also you can drop your favourite screenshot on it (on most pages) and voila! Much better looking. :-))Steve

Hi Alvega,Well i got Portugese, I got the plane and the airport, IF assimilated it, and generated a flight, and the flight started up fine, and the engines started and continued running.Could not have been *sweeter* the airport looked great and fps was good.There's something you haven't told me about your system!I'm just looking at what UTX you might have...Steve

You have the download version from Flight1, here. But i don't understand why could the scenery be causing that problem.How did you start the plane's engine?Are you using the same version of IF i used? Is your Windows in portuguese now?

Too late i got the boxed version, will have to wait.The engines are started by cold&dark defaults in IF. I have your plane your scenery and your airport and portugese set and no changes to the version you have, other than the dots are now commas in the coms and weather text, which causes no problems.Leaving the Ultimate Terrain X situation. Now that has been tested but not with LPFG on top, so there could be an interaction between the two that IF does not know about. FSX does because FSX has the legacy knowledge, this is currently being built into IF. IF needs to know as much about addons as FSX does.OR you have another addon or alteration that causes it.Steve

I'll wait for UTX because it's been tested and I don't think that's got any unknown freatues in it.I cannot think of anything to combine with LPFG to give the problem.There must be another cause. I'll await other reports...Thanks to you and everyone else helping and supporting!Steve

Hi Alvega,I found something, but I don't think it affects your problem, can you try this anyway, with a fresh install:http://download.codelegend.com/idealflight/Ideal_Flight_Setup_10_010jn.zipand when installed, make no changes to profile or plane and try the top right arrow to generate a flight, and try the flight that it chooses?then later try your problem flight...Many thanks;Steve

There are two similar problems reported by Alvega and Pablo, '"" is not a floating point valueThis message is because there is no value in the quotes. Somewhere a blank value is read in and is not handled as expected. Generally IF inserts reasonable values where none are found.I am looking for the possibility that somewhere in IF an instance of this has not been catered for.Steve

Sorry to change the flow here but I have a question. When setting weather, you have negative and postive numbers. Can someone explain this. I have an assumption but want to make sure I complete understand.I would assume the negative values means greater severity. I have been know to be wrong once in awhile though :( RegardsBob
