Hi Terry,Unable to get any problems like that.IF loads any plane from your aircraft folder as Ai. Since many addon planes do not work properly with Ai, try setting max Ai to zero in flight gen to be sure you have not got an aircraft being created for FSX Ai that causes a problem. If it turns out to be a plane you can check a box in IF to have it ignored.You may want to try disabling any addon scenery in the area for a test too.Best regards; Steve.

Steve,Thanks for the larger font on the full briefing. Only thing was I had a fltplan I was going to fly, did the upgrade and tried the new improved font size, but full briefing refused to load woth my current fltplan. I had to regenerate a new one before it would load. Small issue that was easily remedied.

Ahh yes, I forgot to mention an updated version of IF may have more stuff! The old IFData file that goes with the .flt and .pln files will be incorrect for the new version IF flight data.As you say no big deal but would be nice to handle the situation more gracefully in future.The plan is to get IF stabilised and upload the 1.0 release. Then later on when an upgrade comes out it will do that anyway.IF already upgrades the parked aircraft db if it finds old data, so as you can see progressing toward that Ideal.Thanks!

There is still some work to do to get the 1.0 release ready; here's what I'm doing just now:I've found leaving spaces on the end of the ICAOs entered in the flight generator means it is not recognosed; I've trimmed that.Making a free flight can take a long time because all the airports nearby are drawn in since you don't actually have a destination. It’s only the size of a screenshot so you can download as many times as you want and run the installer straight over the old installation and continue with the most up-to-date copy of IF. You don’t even need to extract the file from the zip, just run it straight from the zip contents in explorer.

Hello Steve!! You solved it!!! By having IF ignore the AI while in flight everything loads perfectly no matter what settings i choose. I sincerely apologize for all the head scatching I caused you, and to anyone reading my earlier posts please ignore them!! Anyway thanks again Steve very much for all your help and it's nice to know there are developers out there like you who are so willing to work with their customers on solving any issues with their program. Not at all! I found other stuff to do looking into your problem, so thank YOU.So I presume an aircraft in your collection is causing the problem?You can check a box to have Ai ignore them in the aircraft section.Best regards; Steve

Hi Steve, like I said, when I load FSX with the "X" option (no flight parameters) I get the standard loading screen with the Trike and Friday Harbor.However if I click the FSX FLY NOW! button my previous IF flight loads...Alternativiely in the same situation if I change any of the standard FSX 1-2-3-4 options (aircraft, airport, weather, time of day), all the previous IF flight selections suddenly reappear.I have tried a fresh install of IF to see if that changes anything but this strange behaviour remains the same.ThanksDavidPS update install now working, thanks.

Hi David,When you use the "X" button you should see the FSX dialog screen. Is your fsx.cfg available, where is it located, and can you check nothing is holding it open like wordpad or something. IF sets the dialog as the default before running FSX, then sets it back to whatever it was once FSX is running.Thanks; Steve.

Fsx.cfg is working, located in "C:\Users\David\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX" and definitely not open in another app.Strange one this!

Hi,These pictures are not supposed to be of any value since you can install IF and see the screens and weather for yourself, there is nothing to hide. Interesting weather in IF is relentless, I am confident you will experience exactly what you see in the shots on the site. A major part of the weather cannot be seen, and must be experienced; the air curreents engine making seamless thermals and wind deflections, which can be used with any weather engine.The website is not being developed right now, it would be a waste of time since IF is not final. IF is more important and nothing is being *forgotten*, I have simply not got round to it yet. The product is evolving right now and being formed by the wishes of the IF users. The website can be done when the product is final. So don't worry, more work will be done on the website eventually, I'm sorry if it causes anyone a problem for the timebeing.Perhaps you should get IF right now, see for yourself, and maybe have your requirements built into it?Best regards;Steve
